Aneesah Morrow Aneesah Morrow 6'1" | SG Simeon | 2021 State #46 Nation IL , 6’1” Forward/Guard, Simeon
The state’s #2 Ranked Player in the 2021 Class was dominant once again this weekend with Baylor Basketball. Morrow has a great combination of strength and athleticism which, matched with her relentless effort, make for a tough matchup on both ends of the floor. Aneesah scores the ball at every level and crashes the boards hard to get her team second chances on offense.
Stephanie Dasbach Stephanie Dasbach 6'1" | PF Willowbrook | 2021 State IL , 6’1” Forward, Willowbrook
Dasbach is a smooth and talented inside post presence that has the skills to stretch the floor at times. She moves well in the lane with and without the ball, constantly finding openings to where her teammates can get her the ball, so she has good looks at the hoop. With the ball in the lane, she uses strength and athleticism to maneuver around defenders and finish at a high rate.
Nessa Walsh, 5’10” Guard, St. Joseph
The lengthy Chicago Xtreme Guard impressed on Saturday with a wide range of skills, including the ability to score the ball naturally from all levels. Walsh has a long, but quick jump shot that found the bottom of the net several times in the game I watched. She also did a nice job of leading the break with solid ball-handling skills and making smart decisions.
Takiyah Howard, 5’9” Guard, De La Salle
Howard is a strong athlete with the ability to play with 1-3 well due to her ball-handling and scoring abilities. The Example Sports Guard can shoot it well from beyond the arc, but does most of her scoring in the paint. She uses her strength well to beat her defender 1-on-1 and absorb contact at the rim.
Anna Griffin Anna Griffin 6'1" | SF Aurora Christian | 2021 State #60 Nation IL , 6’1” Guard, Aurora Christian
Griffin is a high-level prospect who continues to develop a fantastic all-around game. The Example Sports Guard/Forward handles the ball well and can score off the wing with her ability to get into the lane and absorb contact. Her post-up game on the block allows her to be a dynamic player at all areas of the floor.
Talia Pellegrini Talia Pellegrini 5'7" | CG St. Charles North | 2021 State IL , 5’7” Guard, St. Charles North
A strong, do-it-all Combo Guard for the Illinois Rockets, Pellegrini is a great asset on offense and defense. She has a very high basketball IQ and a selfless mentality to do what is best for the team. Her ability to shoot it well from deep and attack the lane and make smart decisions make her a dynamic guard on the offensive end. Defensively, she uses her strength and athleticism to guard ball-handlers at a high level and step inside to defend the post when needed.
Kelsey Dwyer, 6’0” Guard, Stagg
A lethal shooter from beyond the three-point line, Dwyer continues to keep defenders on their toes with her versatile game. The Illinois Rockets Shooting Guard uses her long arms and pure shooting motion to knock down shots with range over opponents. Not only can she hit shots at a high rate, but Dwyer has the skills to step inside and use her height and skills to convert in the post.
