I recently did a roundup feature of two traveling programs from this past weekend on the NW Magic and Pacific 2022. Follow the link here for that feature. For part two, the focus will be on Tree of Hope Pacific and All Northwest. TOH Pacific traveled to Atlanta to play in Brandon Clay’s Summer Invite, while All Northwest made their way to Nike TOC Iowa Session 3.
Tree of Hope Pacific
TOH Pacific was a mixture of Tree of Hope 17u and 16u EYBL teams. The group found a solid amount of success overall defeating multiple Atlanta area teams including Team Elite EYBL, with their only losses coming to Exodus 17u EYBL and Team Curry 17u UAA.
Top Shooter: 2023 6’1 SF Jenna Villa Jenna Villa 6'1" | SF Arlington | 2023 State WA (Arlington HS) wasn’t on every game with her shot, but when she gets multiple open looks at it, chances are she is going to fill it up. Villa has been a mostly steady performer this Summer and has solidified herself as a Division 1 recruit that will garner several offers over time.
Stock Riser: 2023 5’8 SG Isabel Sullivan Isabel Sullivan 5'11" | SG Eastside Catholic | 2023 State WA (Eastside Catholic HS) was at least a solid or top performer in each of the games for TOH Pacific . The lefty shooter can handle, dish and finish with either hand. She has good defensive awareness to get into passing lanes and make good rotations to close out to shooters. Sullivan established herself as a D1 prospect in the 2023 class.
Top Shot Blocker: 2022 6’2 SF Drea Brumfield Drea Brumfield 6'2" | SF WF West | 2022 State #72 Nation WA (WF West HS) easily wins this category. She has great length and good timing to block shots. Brumfield also showed some inside-out versatility, although she appears most comfortable on the wing and top offensively.
All Northwest
A newly formed group that was put together by Head Coach Javaris Bellamy. All Northwest played in the Nike TOC 17u White Division, which was the second highest level of competitiveness out of three divisions. The team finished 2-5 overall for the session.
Top Prospect: 2021 5’8 SG Delaney Pink Delaney Pink 5'8" | SG Chiawana | 2021 State WA (Chiawana HS) played very well for the majority of the event. She scored inside and out and consistently made plays on both sides of the ball. Pink is recruitable to some conferences at the Division 1 level or could be a steal at the NAIA or Division 2 level based on her performance this past weekend.
Fresh Face: 2021 5’7 PG Tori Younker (Couer d’Alene HS/ID) stood out as a non-Washington prospect. A quality ball handler and shooter from the perimeter. Younker is just a fundamentally sound player overall that could be a nice pickup for some non Division 1 schools.
Unselfish Performer: 2021 5’7 PG Karina McMillan Karina McMillan 5'7" | PG Sumner | 2021 State WA (Sumner HS) is a steady player on both sides of the ball. A pass first type of player that can score at times when she is more aggressive. McMillan is an above average defender and passionate about finding an opportunity to play at the next level. She is also high academic.
