Mallorie Haines Mallorie Haines 5'10" | SG Davidson Day | 2021 NC was the leading scorer for Team Curry with 14 points. Her shooting was on full display making 4 three pointers in the game. She showed precision and decisiveness when she had the opportunity to shoot.
Tanajah Hayes Tanajah Hayes 5'6" | PG Vance | 2021 NC had 8 points in the second half helping seal the game for Team Curry. She was a tenacious defender creating steals to take the other direction scoring points for her team. She also showed off her ability to shoot behind the arc.
Talaysia Cooper and Reigan Richardson Reigan Richardson 6'0" | SG Cannon School | 2021 State #32 Nation NC each contributed 6 points. Cooper was a dominant post player showing her strength to position her body where she wants to make a basket. Additionally, she showed great ball handling skills when needing to maneuver to the basket if she was not on the block waiting for a pass. Richardson showed her ability to create space between her and her defender preparing for a jump shot or causing enough hesitation to go by them.
Maddie Dillinger Maddie Dillinger 6'1" | PF Cuthbertson | 2021 State NC was the leading scorer for Lady Attack Elite 17U with 14 points. She was aggressive with the ball showing great post moves inside and also putting her shot on display. She had a great basket through the foul where she sealed the three point play lighting a fire for her team. Also, she showed her leadership skills on her team encouraging them to keep battling. On defense, she was smart and precise with her positioning making it difficult for players to even complete a two-on-one fast break against her.
Emily Cunningham contributed 6 more points. Her three pointers could not have come at a more crucial time for her team. She was able to move well without the ball finding the open areas to make her shot count.
Nyla McGill and Malea Garrison added 4 points each. McGill has a way of always making things happen for her team whether she is driving to draw defenders away from her teammates so they can have the open bucket or she is on the floor hustling for the ball somehow finding an open teammate to give the ball to. Garrison was moving all over the court finding the openings to receive a pass. She was a great defender and aggressive when it came to grabbing rebounds.
