Brenna Welsh-5’8 guard (Robinson HS) Waco Lady Panthers
Welsh caught my eye a few years ago with her club team by just shooting the lights out and she still has the pull-up jumper I remember but she also added handling the all under pressure and attacking the rim and not only does she attack, she attacks strong and finishes the same way, after contact but on top of all of that, I think her court vision really has taken off as she hits teammates on the money
Tse Morgan-6’0 post (Somerset HS) Somerset Superstarz
Morgan has a college-ready body and the more I watch her, the more she’s showing that she’s understanding how to use it better and better and when you throw in the hands and footwork that she continues to improve on, she’s turning into a terror. Her desire to improve had me catch her in a trifecta, here, All Eyez On Me and TJ Showcase and the improvement I kept seeing was satisfying
Empress Roberts Empress Roberts 5'6" | PG Harker Heights | 2022 State TX -5’6 guard (Harker Heights HS) Pro Skills Austin
Roberts was one of the better defenders at the camp, not only because of her manning up full court, not only because she called the switch and was vocal on both ends and definitely not because she played the passing lane as well as picked some pockets but the combination is why I said it and on the other end she created her shot for the midrange and attacked the basket relentlessly
Ariyel Gordon-5’8 guard (Harlan HS) SA Hoops Elite
Gordon was one of the best at seeing the floor and hitting teammates on the money, under pressure and that is huge for a number of reasons but she also does while attacking the basket hard and by doing it so well, it gives her options and all of this ties into to her athleticism and ability to create her shot but as much as she showed me on offense, she was also a good defender
Marisa Seaton-5’9 forward (Brandeis HS) SA Hustlers
Seaton has “creates her shot circled” and as I circle back into my memory bank, what she did is embedded because she was hitting pull-up jumper so well, if she was guarded tightly, she attacked the basket hard and finished strong after the lick. That mix of offensive options is good to have in the toolbox because it keeps the defense honest and it also gives her something to build on like shooting the long ball. She handled the ball well, while being pressured and she played within herself
