Emily Tatum-5’9 G (Lampass HS) LB Chaos
Tatum has good size and comprehended extremely well but the thing that just stood out almost immediately was how she did things instinctively and I’ve mentioned countless times that’s something I actually look for and it also explains how she could score in the flow or just take over so well because she knows when to pick and choose and when chose to play the passing lane, it was baskets going the other way and while of those things got my attention, her creating her shot and dropping the 3 over and over kept
Jacy Reese-5’3 PG (East Central HS) Texas Flight Elite 16U
Reese had me wanting a peanut butter cup because her game was definitely sweet as she does so many things that a #sizedontmatter guard might have in their repertoire, watching her master the floater, can I use that word, as well as a smooth crossover in traffic, I was getting pumped but her first step coupled with her speed can leave defenders standing still but here’s the flip, if you back off of her with fear of being cemented to the floor, she can drop the long ball
Viviana Moreno-5’3 G (Brandeis HS) San Antonio Islanders
Moreno made her first Tip Sheet at last seasons #AllEyezOnMe Individual Showcase but that wasn’t enough as she made another for #TJShowcase but that won’t this season because she didn’t play in the tournament but she showed out again in the Showcase as she did at the combine. She gets after it on both ends, understands how to create her shot and score under pressure and she’s fearless, you can tell as she challenges anyone off the dribble yet she plays smart and within herself, doesn’t force anything
Jaelyn Morrison-5’9 G/SF (J.M. Hanks HS) SA Infinity
Morrison had my eyes glued to her by being vocal off the top and her blue-collar defense and I said to myself “if she can do ANYTHING offensively, her future is bright” well she did a whole lot offensively, attacked and finished acrobatically at times, even after contact and I’m thinking who is this kid? Well if that wasn’t enough, she she created her shot in the half-court setting and showed a nice midrange jumper, she even handled the ball well in the open court
Senaido Barrientos-5’7 G (Smithville HS) Competitive Edge
Barrientos was getting her knee iced after skills and looked like she was in pain so I walked over and asked if she could continue” she said oh no, I’m playing” and I may have said it differently but don’t worry about how she said it, worry about defending her after she said it because she put on an offensive clinic that made me wanna get iced but she was ice under pressure, wanted to te big shots and nailed it, good mid to long-range, finishes strong after going hard to the basket and her upside and mindset tells me a lot
