2021
Zoe Nelson Zoe Nelson 6'1" | PF Hendrickson | 2021 State TX -6’1 SG/SF Hendrickson HS (Austin Elite RFW)
Nelson can all five positions, I’ve said that numerous times and I’ve also talked about her rebounding, defense in interior and exterior as well as her ball-handling ability and the ability to see the floor and when you box all of that up, you have the total package yet the package continues to get filled even more because of her “clutch” performances I’ve been seeing a lot of, not only here but at the TJ Showcase coming up soon, but she’ showing she can turn a game around on both ends of the court
Kayla Presley Kayla Presley 5'7" | CG Lehman | 2021 State TX -5’7 G San Marcos HS (San Antonio Finest)
Presley had already shown me enough to have her listed on the Top 100 yet she has been showing even more, especially at the COMBINE because I knew her first step was smooth yet it’s also explosive and when you can zigzag through the defense with the ball and I get dizzy, that’s something but so is her acrobatic finishes and stop and pop on the fast break jumpers, from mid to long-range and she defended hard, manned up full court and guess what played that passing lane
Jazra Williams Jazra Williams 5'10" | SF Vista Ridge | 2021 State TX -5’11 G/F Vista Ridge HS (Austin Elite RFW)
Williams consistently in the running for my Most Improved Player Award every season, if I had one, but as I preach progression over and over, guess what, she has shown it, over and over and with her size and frame nit to leave out mindset, she’s going to be an even better college player for a number of reasons. She plays hard and she plays within herself and doesn’t mind doing the little things that don’t show up in the box score or stat sheet yet her rebounding and scoring, especially from the midrange definitely shows up, and she does too
2025
LA Snead-5’7 G Wagner HS (Texas Flight Elite)
Snead reminds of a saying I used to use “the future is now” and even though she has one more year of middle school ball before she goes and plays for her mom, who is a San Antonio legend as well as a standout at Texas, I just love watching this young lady play because she reminds me so much of a number of talented guards I’ve seen just stand out playing 2,3, 4 even 5 years up, I called her a #D1Lock heading to the 5th grade which is why she’s the #1 2025 in the state, changed it to #BCSLock a few months later and you can throw away the key but the key to her success is she comprehends things so quickly and has the “you can’t stop me” mindset be it off the dribble or from NBA range, her ballhandling, passing and defense all I can say is wow
