The class of 2021 has a lot to bring to the table for their next year of high school. Juniors can be considered leaders of their team, and now have a better idea of how the recruiting process goes. This is their time to shine. These players are apart of the North Coast Section Division 3:
Makena Mastora- 2021, 5’9”, Guard, #12, St. Joseph Notre Dame High School (Alameda, CA)
Makena Mastora is a lethal shooter of St. Joseph Notre Dame High School. Mastora has an extraordinary shooting form, and not to mention she is a lefty. It’s always good to have a lefty on a team, it shakes things up a bit offensively and defensively. Makena is a difficult person to defend because she throws people off with her uncommon dominant hand. She can shoot the lights out on her opponents. Makena averaged 9.2 PPG, and scored a total of 101 points during the 2019-2020 season. Mastora also averaged 3.5 RPG, and 3.5 SPG. She is always prepared mentally and physically to steal the ball. She can definitely improve on her driving abilities but her shooting range is phenomenal. She definitely has a great future ahead of her.
Keana Tulod- 2021, 5”7’, PG & SG, #20, De Anza High School (El Sobrante, CA)
Keana Tulod is a player that always puts on a show whenever she plays. Her dribbling skills are something to lay your eyes upon. She is super speedy, and quick. Dribbling past defenders is a simple task for Keana. Tulod is always looking for opportunities to score, not only for herself but teammates as well. Her passes are out of this world, and she is a playmaker on the fast break. Keana averaged 12.1 PPG, and scored a total of 206 points for the 2019-2020 season, and had a 47% free throw percentage. I know Keana is going to come out and play during her senior year with lots of fire in her heart and will be ready to prove herself. Keana Tulod is a very passionate player, and it shows.
Emily Sullivan- 2021, 5’3”, Shooting Guard, #5, San Marin High School (Novato, CA)
Emily Sullivan is the go-to shooter for San Marin High School in Novato, CA. She has a very swift and quick jump shot, and always follows through with every shot attempt. Emily can drain threes when a defender has a hand in her face, and she also has a good awareness of when not to shoot the ball and she is under pressure. Emily averaged 7.3 PPG, and scored a total of 227 points during the 2019-2020 season. Sullivan also averaged 2.3 RPG. Emily knows where her shooting spot is, and she always goes to it when she is open. Her teammates are always looking to kick the ball out to her, they have a lot of trust in Emily when it comes to shooting a three-pointer. I believe Emily should improve on her driving abilities, but her shooting is great. I’m looking forward to seeing how much work she puts in over the break for her Senior year.
Rose Morse- 2021, 5”8’, PG & SG, #30, Las Lomas High School(Walnut Creek, CA)
I don’t think I can get over how good Rose Morse is. It’s hard not to rank her so high in most categories. She is a player that stands out in the Bay Area. I have mentioned Rose multiple times, and she is a great leader on her high school team. If you just take a glimpse at her statistics, you will know why she has worked her way up in the rankings. She averaged 22.1 PPG, and scored a total of 420 points last season. Her field goal percentage is 46%, she made a total of 39 three-pointers, had a free throw percentage of 74%, and made a total of 101 free throws last semester. This just proves she can get to the free-throw line easy, but even better she makes most of her free throws. Rose Morse is a phenomenal player, and I have no doubt she will still be a star player during her Senior season.
