Continue ReadingRilyn Quirke Rilyn Quirke 5'11" | SF Barlow | 2023 State OR 2023 6’0″ PF NW Stars/Barlow HS – Rilyn displayed her ability as a stretch forward who can hit shots from the perimeter as well as get into the post and score with finesse. She is a player who has agile feet for someone her size that uses her strength and body well in the paint. A spirited defender who is disciplined and presents a high IQ knowing when to switch and help out or when to show and return to the paint. On transition, she is versatile as a floor runner as well as a trailer who can sink the three. Had 9 points that all came within the second half.
Olivia Poulivaati 2023 6’0″ PF NW Stars/Tualatin HS – The first thing you notice about Olivia is her size alone, as she has a solid frame and uses it well defensively and offensively as a post who commands attention alone on this front. She has good awareness around the basket and scores with relative ease once she is settled within her spot. The next thing you notice is her soft hands, which catch the ball from the high post and deliver the ball to her teammates in good positions. She had 4 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists.
Tabi Searle Tabi Searle 5'10" | SG Tualatin | 2023 State OR 2023 5’10″ SG NW Stars/Tualatin HS – Once glance at Tabi and you notice that she has a slender long frame to her and once you see her play you get to see her use her physical tools to her advantage. She is a tall, athletic guard who can shoot it from deep as well as score in several different positions on the court – has a nice stroke from deep and can score on the block. Her length and nimbleness allows her to rebound and get steals as she can make plays from all over based on this attribute alone. Had 8 points, 2 assists, and 2 steals.
Lindsey Barden 2022 5’5″ PG NW Stars/Barlow HS – Lindsey was shown to be a utility player for the Stars, one whose effort on both ends of the floor make a difference for her and her teammates. She is a disciplined defender who takes pride in the small things, boxing out, shuffling her feet, etc. She gets to the paint with a quick first step and has crafty finishes that she uses to avoid contact. Had 5 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals in a nice showing against Ignition.
Audrey Kehoe 2022 6’0″ PF NW Stars/West Linn HS – Kehoe is a post with good size that can score on the block once she gets her positioning at her spot. She is a coordinated post who grabs rebounds with good fundamentals and agileness. On offensive, she is also a good high post to work with as her height and long arms allow her to see the court and move the ball effectively. Defensively, she stands out as a player who moves with a lot of effort as she is quick enough to defend on the perimeter and big enough to do so inside.
Morgan Miller 2023 SG NW Stars/Lincoln HS – Morgan made her mark on offense as a sensational cutter that can get into the smallest of gaps and make it count when the ball comes her way. She plays at a nice pace, knowing when to push the tempo once the ball is in her hands. A dedicated defender who works at a steady pace and rebounds well because of it. Makes great passes within the offensive structure itself as a player who helps move the ball and keeps the pace going.
Eve Hart 2023 5’10” SG NW Stars/Lincoln HS – A forward with a solid frame who knows how to use it. Has good hands that get a firm grip on the ball when rebounding, as she usually puts herself in good positions to do so. Has a good touch around the basket as well as shows the ability to give the ball up when her teammates are in favorable positions. Sets good screens and shows the knowledge and ability to play team defense. Finished with 4 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists.
