Being able to impact the game on multiple levels is so important. A go-to player that can consistently knock down shots from beyond the arc and put a team ahead three points will help any team be successful. Each of the prospects below have shown they are confident with the ball in their hands behind the arc and have the skills to prove it.
Ella Hischke | Purple Aces 2024 | 5’10 W
Hischke has great on court vision. She moves well without the ball and cuts super hard off screens. She holds her position well when inside but is most confident knocking down the perimeter shot. She is patient finding her shot which seems to stem from her feel for the game. She has a high IQ and understands her role on the floor. The Purple Aces standout is a do-it all type player who can make an impact at every spot on the floor. She has impressive athleticism and makes adjustments so well during the game. She has outstanding control with the ball and could easily play in a high tempo, intense system.
Sammy Opichka Sammy Opichka 5'11" | CG Green Bay Notre Dame | 2021 State WI | WI Flight Elite | 6’0 W
Opichka has shown she has so much range beyond the arc. Her athleticism and mobility are very impressive and continue to improve. She is also a great scorer off the dribble, and is comfortable creating a shot for herself off the bounce. She can finish in a variety of ways. She shows so much patience when finding her shot on the perimeter and doesn’t force anything. She is a pass first wing who is always searching for her open teammate cutting down the lane. A high release point on her shot makes the St. Thomas University commit is very hard to defend.
Gracis McNabb | Chapman Academy | 5’8 SG
McNabb is a lethal shooter from beyond the arc. She has such a nice touch to her shot and is confident with the ball in her hands. She helped her Chapman Academy team be successful this season by impacting the game on both ends. She has impressive handles and ability to turn her defender the entire length of the court. She is a gifted athlete and her upside is very high. Her shot from twelve feel and in is super consistent, and she loves to jump stop into a floater or a pull-up. She follows her shot almost everytime and her offensive rebounding percentage is high because of it. Her perimeter consistency really improved this summer and I’d look for her to be quite the sharp shooter next season.
Kyra Funk | Wisconsin Legends | 5’9 SG
Funk is an outstanding two-way player. She is fantastic on defense and plays with intensity and intelligence when guarding offensive players. She can guard 1-5 right now for her Wisconsin Legends team and it’s very impressive to watch. Her offensive game is improving steadily. She has a smooth jump shot and a good mid range pull up. She is most deadly of course from beyond the arc and when she gets hot, it is difficult to cool her down. She can also be a great rebounder because of her tenacity on the floor. She has great positional size and potential to develop is high. She continues to improve her ball handling skills which will help her when creating a shot on the perimeter.
