The event took place at Glenarm Sports in Glenarm, Maryland outside of Baltimore. Teams played in one or two games and there were some competitive match ups and a couple of blowouts. Here are some of the standouts from the event.
Laura Williams, Fairfax Stars, 2024
Laura had an outstanding day on the second day of the event. She’s play up one grade and at 6’1″ she was a handful all day. Her exceptional athleticism and length allowed her to cause havoc on defense in both games. She blocked and altered multiple shots. She is still raw but you can see that she has plenty of potential and will be an impact player in high school sooner than later.
Gianni Boone Gianni Boone 5'10" | SF St. John’s College | 2022 State MD , Fairfax Stars, 2022
Gianni has always been a smooth operator with a ton of versatility in her game. She has now added a reliable three point shot to her arsenal and it makes her to another level. She’s a very long and lean athlete with a high IQ and great feel for the game.
Natalie Johnson Natalie Johnson 5'7" | CG North Point | 2022 State MD , Fairfax Stars, 2022
Natalie is a really strong and physical guard that I had recently seen at the Blacktop Scrimmage. She gets inside the paint at will and knows how to finish. She is a scorer with a very aggressive mentality and she also applies pressure on the defensive end of the court.
Rose Bubakar, MD Belles, 2021
Rose had a strong performance in her first action of the season. The super athletic six footer has added the necessary skills to thrive on the wing at the next level. She is much more comfortable handling the ball in traffic and shooting from three point range. She has gone from a raw and athletic prospect to a much more polished and confident player. A high mid major commitment should be the floor for her. Rose attends Frederick High School where she has already won a championship.
