A high motor and higher energy, Krahn’s stock has risen more than any player in her class. After a successful season at Prairie du Chien where she averaged 20.9 points, 5.3 boards and 4 steals per game, many had their eyes on Krahn leading into the summer. She proved to live up to the hype and show how talented she was against elite talent.
Krahn has great size on the floor that makes her versatile at every spot. She has developed her handles this season and is confident pushing the ball in transition or setting up the offense if need be. She’s a floor general for sure- a communicator on the floor that works best when getting her teammates involved. She has excellent on court vision and ability to find her teammates in their shooting spots. She is slippery off the ball- she knows how to get herself shot opportunities even when she does not have the ball in her hands. She runs off screens well, and her hands are always ready for the pass. Krahn fills an important role on her team as a versatile offensive threat that is very difficult to defend.
The Wisconsin Flight Elite standout is an outstanding two way player as well. She’s fantastic on defense, playing with intensity and intelligence when guarding offensive players. The ability to play both ways is vital for the next level. She has the ability to play lockdown defense on any perimeter position, which is very impressive. Krahn’s offensive game is improving steadily. She’s great at creating space on the three point basket and is confident knocking it down with consistency. She’s lethal on the perimeter off a pass or dribble- super tough to defend. She needs little to no space when finding her shooting pocket as well. Krahn has a smooth pull up jump shot and a good mid range. She’s most deadly when driving through the lane. Because of her physicality, she’s great at finishing through contact with either hand. She is not fazed by contact or taller defenders waiting in the paint. She’s shown glimpse of being a great rebounder as well because of her tenacity on the floor.
After showcasing her talents all summer and proving her ceiling is high and she can compete against incredible prospects, Krahn now holds offers from Bradley, Illinois State, Kansas State, Milwaukee, Nebraska Omaha, Oklahoma State, Eastern Illinois, Green Bay, South Dakota State and St Thomas.
Runner Up:
Jordana Reisma Jordana Reisma 6'2" | SF Brown Deer | 2022 State WI
6’2 W/F | WI Shooters | Brown Deer
Reisma is a versatile threat that was a major contributor for Wisconsin Shooters this summer. Her length, agility, and mobility for her size are impressive, and these also give her the ability to be a shot blocker in the paint. She works very well on the wing- this seems to be where she is most comfortable with the ball in her hands. She has a great shooting touch, even from range; her mechanics and form are advanced for her build. She shoots with a smooth, quick and controlled release that is hard to defend.
Reisma is a very elite shooting small forward with high versatility defensively. She improved her shot from behind the arc tremendously, both off the dribble and the catch. She works well in the pick-and-roll, and she’s able to use her body to muscle defenders off and pull up for a jumper. The ability to shoot off the ball screen is so important in today’s game and Reisma does extremely well at that. Pace and patience stick out very much- she plays patiently and lets the game come to her, especially in the half court. Defensive versatility is a major plus for the Wisconsin Shooters standout as she can easily defend positions 2-5 and possibly the 1 if she has to.
Reisma holds offers from Cleveland State, IUPUI, North Dakota and North Dakota State.
Honorable Mention:
Jordan Muelemans
5’11 G | Flight Elite | De Pere
Muelemans came into the summer already having made a name for herself in the grassroots circuit as well as being the standout player on her De Pere high school squad. Known best for her ability to knock down the perimeter bucket, she showcased so much more this summer. She is named honorable mention as a breakout player after adding so much craft and technical skills to her game. She’s become an incredible transition guard- she pushes the ball up the court and her decision making for finding her teammates or knocking down the shot are elite. She’s an aggressive guard who could play point guard if her team needed it but can easily slide off the ball and prefers to do so.
Muelemans has great size and movement at the off-ball position and knows how to get herself in the game. She moves well without the ball and utilizes her post players better than anyone I’ve seen compete this summer. She is great at attacking the rim, especially when she has downhill momentum. She is not fazed by contact, and she is proficient at scoring when contested in the lane because of her impressive body control. She also rebounds very well for her position and she’s not afraid to throw her body into the mix for the ball.
Muelemans holds offers from Butler, Creighton, Green Bay, Illinois State, Iona, Marquette, Milwaukee and St. Thomas.
Ja’Cia Cunningham
5’8 G | Lady Meanstreets | Milwaukee School of Languages
Cunningham entered this summer with all eyes on her after an exciting high school season. Helping lead her team to second in conference play, she finished second in scoring with 12.8 points per game. She led her team in assists with 5 per game as well. It was clear her talents were real and they would translate into an impressive summer with a highly talented Lady Meanstreets program.
Cunningham is a dynamic, play-making point guard that brings much excitement to the game. She is a speedy true point guard that is at her best when she has a step on the defender. The downhill drive is a staple of Cunningham’s game- her first step is super effective and rarely stopped. Once she gets to the rim, she has a plethora of options that she can use to finish around paint defenders. She’s crafty. She utilizes off-footed floaters and runners to throw off defensive timing and allow space for a shot. Overall, her finishing bag is just very deep. She’s proven this season that she can run the offense, get her teammates involved but also heat up and put her team on her back. Her energy is high and her ceiling for being an elite point guard at the next level is higher.
After a standout summer, Cunningham holds offers from Long Island University and Chicago State.
