We will tell you a little about them and talk about what they do well on the floor for coaches to pay attention too. Here we go, hope you enjoy the evaluations of these recognized girls.
#8 – 2022,5’10, SG, Oakridge HS, Teagan Brown Teagan Brown 5'10" | SG Oakridge HS | 2022 State CA – is a DIA (Do It All) Player Award Recipient on the floor, she gets the award this week because of her all around game she showed to me and all of the writers at the event. She works hard on every possession, shoots it very well, can defend and has a knack for putting the ball in the hoop. Crafty off the dribble and has a definite determination to make her team get victories, PERIOD.
#10 – 2022, 5’10, SG, Mater Dei HS, Soliel Montrose Soliel Montrose 5'10" | SG Mater Dei HS | 2022 State CA – Soliel is a force to be reckoned with on the floor, she showed her skill set and determination in the playoffs. She is very skilled for her age and a true leader on the floor, she has the personality that is ALPHA to all of her peers. She has a nice game inside the key, shoots the midrange consistent and is a tough as nail defender and is quite athletic in her approach to the game. She can finish with both hands and get to the rim with great success, we are gonna keep and eye on this athletic specimen for the next few years.
#20 – 2022, 6’6, PF/C, Carondelet HS, Ashley Lewis Ashley Lewis 6'6" | C St. Marys Stockton | 2022 State CA – Ashley is that young big that everyone in the gym is pursuing to play with their program, she is agile, she runs the floor well and has decent hands catching the ball in the paint. If she seals you in the paint, you are done, she will finish over you and bump you out of the paint. She shoots the ball off the backboard which means someone has been working with her and she is a decent shot blocker. I believe she may get another inch or two and if she does, she is going to be a problem for most schools. Watch this girl on the circuit and she will be good.
#23 – 2022, 5’3, PG, Orangewood Academy HS, Kristal Caldwell Kristal Caldwell 5'3" | PG Orangewood Academy | 2022 State CA – Kristal is a firecracker, she is quick, she is strong, she is fearless on the floor and most cannot stay in front of her with the ball in her hands. She is a lefty, so she has a nice stroke from outside, she knocked down two three pointers in this game and got to the rim and finish thru contact. Watching her this fall has been pretty good as well, she has become more of a distributor at the point guard spot that can score in bunches. This is going to help her game tremendously and she is maturing just like we thought she would.
#30 – 2022, 6’2, PF, Chino Hills HS, Erica Collins Erica Collins 6'2" | PF Chino Hills | 2022 State CA – Rebounder supreme and a very capable shot blocker at about three of them per game. Soft hands and can finish around the rim, even saw her get up and down the floor well. She got putbacks after a solid rebounding job, then could get the ball out to the guards to push the break for her team. Solid big that is still developing a few parts of the game for the next level. She is also a developing three point shooter at her size, which was very surprising to us.
