These players are definite college prospects. All are from areas other than Phoenix and each player had a very good junior campaign in 2019-2020.
Torrance Begay (6’’, Page, 2021) – Begay is an active post player with solid post up moves and she is a very good area rebounder. She runs in transition well for her size, Begay has a good motor and she is fairly skilled. We expect her to have a breakout showing at the camp and her recruitment will definitely pick up from a strong performance.
Mia Carter Mia Carter 5'8" | CG Safford | 2021 State AZ (5’8’’, Thatcher, 2021) – Carter is a high energy player that leaves everything on the floor. She is glue type performer who is ok doing all the dirty work for her team. Really good size for a shooting guard and Carter excels at the defensive end due to her work ethic and desire to win. Non stop motor.
Millinda Arguellez (5’8’’, Flowing Wells, 2021) – Arguellez is as fluid of a player that you will find in the 2021 class. She was primed for a breakout AAU season before the pandemic hit. Arguellez has some good upside, she is ultra athletic and has a good skillset. I am sure she will pick up some interests after this weekend.
Alexis Durham (5’3’’, Wheatland California, 2021) – Durham has family in the Phoenix area so she is in town to increase her recruiting opportunities. Durham averaged 16 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assist for Wheatland last year. She scored 1000 points by the midway point of her junior year. Although I have not seen her perform (other than video), she comes highly recommended. Excited to see her put in some work this weekend.
Zamora Zeneida (5’4’’, Cholla, 2021) – Zeneida is extremely physical and she attacks the basket with great force. She has a good handle and she can be a match up problem due the combination of speed and aggressiveness. Zeneida is an effort player who will grow on you. She will find her way on a college team.
