Class D1 may be the second-to-smallest class in Nebraska High School Sports, but that means nothing when it comes to the talent found in these small Nebraska towns. The 2019-2020 high school girls basketball season showcased teams that were loaded with talent, and much of that talent is returning in the 2020-2021 season. Here are some of the best duos from three of the top teams that made an appearance at the Class D1 Nebraska High Schools Girls Basketball State Tournament.

Isabelle Paitz | Senior | 5’9 Guard

Isabelle Paitz is a 5’9 senior from Pleasanton. One of the key strengths she brings to the floor is the ability to play far beyond her size. Patize has great hands and is consistently able to use mobility to catch passes outside of her area. She uses her body well around the rim to absorb contact and keep the ball away from the defense to finish with both hands with touch around the rim. She can also stretch the floor as a knock-down three-point shooter. Paitz is also the kind of player coaches love because she never takes a play off.

Kaci Pier | Senior | 5’8
