This group puts in 100% effort during each game they play, and don’t back down for anything. These players should be recognized for their confidence and perseverance during gameplay. Coaches should not pass on the opportunity to watch these players.
Raegan Kirk- 2021, 5’7”, Guard, Captain, #33, Live Oak High School (Morgan Hill, CA)
Raegan Kirk plays a certain type of what where it’s hard to look away. Kirk is very proficient in the pain on the defensive end. She is relentless on the defensive boards. Raegan’s rebounding abilities are amazing, and she is a very aggressive player. Kirk is always looking for ways to get a shot off and create opportunities for herself. Raegan is the captain of her very successful 10-0 high school Varsity team. She also led her team to a 22-4 overall season record. Raegan averaged 13.7 PPG and scored a total of 342 points during her Junior season. Kirk also averaged 9.8 RPG, and also averaged 2.8 SPG. Raegan isn’t the fastest player, but she is very intelligent with the ball. You won’t see Raegan making many mistakes during gameplay. She is very consistent in her three-pointers, and has great shooting form. Overall, Raegan Kirk is a very poised and talented player, and she will do well during her Senior season.
Aleah Rafat- 2021, 5’10”, Guard & Small Forward, Captain, #21, Live Oak High School (Morgan Hill, CA)
Aleah Rafat is a very driven player. Rafat is a very tall player that makes her relentless on the boards. Aleah is also dominant on the offensive end because of her height. Most of Aleah’s points seemed to be scored from her getting rebounds on the offensive end and putting them back up. Rafat is not a bad shooter as well, she can shoot with and without a defender on her. Most importantly, she can shoot beyond the arc with no problem. Aleah averaged 13.3 PPG and scored a total of 199 points during her Junior season. She also averaged 8.8 RPG, 2.4 SPG, and has a 68% free throw percentage. Alongside teammate/captain Raegan Kirk, and being a captain as well, they both have led their team to an undefeated season. Aleah is untouchable when it comes to scoring under the basket, she is a very hard player to guard. She gets rebounds for her team on the offensive and defensive end. Overall, Aleah is a very strong player and will be a great asset to any team.
Jaisa Gamble- 2021, 5’9”, Forward, #12, Capuchino High School (San Bruno, CA)
Jaisa Gamble is a phenomenal player. She is very fast and versatile with the ball. Gamble uses her speed to her advantage and can dribble past players with ease. Jaisa is a very skilled guard who has it all. She makes great passes to her teammates and is very smart with the ball. Gamble can create plays off the dribble and is also very strong on the offensive end. Jaisa averaged 12.8 PPG and scored a total of 319 points during her Junior season. Gamble also averaged 2.6 APG, 8.2 RPG, 1.9 SPG, and had a 58% free throw percentage. I believe Jaisa can improve on her strength when going up against defenders. Although, she is very quick and has decent ball-handling skills, and that makes up for it. I believe if Jaisa can improve on her physicality against defenders, she will be an unstoppable player.
