Mackenzie Franklin showed promise against stiff competition. Franklin is a strong forward that moves well for her size. She has nimble feet and an impressive shooting touch. She profiles as a stretch-four that can space the floor and knockdown open shots from the perimeter. She had 6 points and 3 rebounds vs. FBC United The Family. Franklin could play an important role off the bench at Kell and give Coach Ingle another inside-out option.
6-4 C Mallory Collier Mallory Collier 6'5" | C Bartlett | 2023 State TN – FBC United The Family – Holy Spirit Prep
Size and power, Mallory Collier Mallory Collier 6'5" | C Bartlett | 2023 State TN knows how to score with her back to the basket. She uses strong drop steps to gather herself and muscle through defenders. She is a load to keep off the glass and already has a college level body. She had 8 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. New to Georgia, expect to hear much more of her. She’s a big-time prospect.
6-1 F Sara Lewis Sara Lewis 6'1" | SF Woodward Academy | 2023 State GA – FBC Legacy – Woodward Academy
Known for her length and activity on the glass and defensive end, Sara Lewis Sara Lewis 6'1" | SF Woodward Academy | 2023 State GA displayed a developing facet to her game: the three-point shot. Lewis canned two early threes en route to 9 points, 7 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 block. She’s turning into a real inside-outside threat that can impact games on both sides of the ball. College coaches will want to track her growth.
5-5 PG Mataya Gayle Mataya Gayle 5'7" | PG River Ridge | 2023 State GA – FBC Blitz 2022 – River Ridge
An electric athlete, not many can play with the speed and pace of Mataya Gayle Mataya Gayle 5'7" | PG River Ridge | 2023 State GA . She’s got a lightning quick first step and an elite burst into the paint. She’s a vocal leader for her team and keeps everybody loose. What she may lack in height, she makes up for with heart. In Cherokee County’s deep 2023 classc, Gayle has been one of the best guards and already has led River Ridge in scoring. She had 12 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals in a win over FBC BounceNation Jay 2022, hitting two threes in the process.
5-10 F Brooklyn Ashworth – FBC Blitz 2022 – Cherokee
Brooklyn Ashworth was steady for FBC Blitz inside. She’s a sturdy rebounder that crashes the glass and draws attention. She scored on clean up opportunities and earned second chances. Ashworth finished with 7 points, 7 rebounds and 1 steal. She’s a nice role player.
5-9 CG Camryn Berry – FBC BounceNation Jay 2022 – Luella
Three three-pointers led Cam Berry’s offensive output. She had 11 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. Adding confidence to her offense will be a big step as she is expected to play a big role this year at Luella. With her length and capable ball handling, consistently being able to score and defend will determine her trajectory.
5-7 CG Jada Peterson Jada Peterson 5'7" | CG Kell | 2023 State GA – FBC Black Nxt Gen JG – Etowah
Jada Peterson Jada Peterson 5'7" | CG Kell | 2023 State GA is a good athlete that can get into the paint and finish amongst the trees. Her first step helps her blow by most on-ball defenders. Once she gets into transition, she can be hard to corral. She also has a reliable three-point shot which opens up driving lanes once defenders have to step out on her. Her lateral quickness gives her upside as a defender, able to move her feet and have active hands.
