Among those names are five players who are still flying under the radar. Finding a way to persevere in the face of adversity is engrained in the world of sports. Each one of these athletes is more than capable of accepting any challenge that is thrown their way, including an altered season.
With that being stated, let’s take a look at five seniors to watch out for during the coming up season.
Genevieve Gudino Genevieve Gudino 5'6" | CG Erie | 2021 State CO – Guard – Erie
At 5-foot-8, Gudino is a versatile guard who possesses all of the intangibles. After a productive junior season, the standout player earned the 14th-ranked spot on the PGH Colorado rankings list for the class of 2021. Gudino brings a particular type of energy to the court that is difficult to match and impossible for opposing teams to contain. Over her three-year career, she has averaged 12.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, 3.5 steals, and 2.7 assists per game. Gudino is a standout player who shines on offense and defense. Do not make the mistake of sleeping on her.
Brooklyn Seymour Brooklyn Seymour 5'11" | PF Ralston Valley | 2021 State CO – Power Forward – Ralston Valley
Seymour is a 5-foot-11 forward who is definitely worth watching out for. The 24th-ranked player in the 2021 PGH Colorado rankings is coming off of an impressive junior season. Seymour is poised to have a phenomenal senior year, adding to her career 7.8 points, 6.1 rebounds, and two steals per game averages. She is a very talented player whose name deserves to be known. Expect nothing less than for Seymour to standout in her final high school season.
Karissa Lukasiewicz Karissa Lukasiewicz 5'11" | SF Valor Christian | 2021 State CO – Shooting Guard/Small Forward – Valor Christian
Lukasiewicz is a well-rounded player who fits her role perfectly. The 29th-ranked player in the class of 2021 on PGH Colorado’s rankings list has a career average of 5.9 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.1 steals per game. At 5-foot-11, Lukasiewicz is the type of player who provides a strong scoring option for her team, while also bringing severe defensive pressure to the court. Lukasiewicz is much more than just an addition to a robust roster; she is an invaluable member of her team who adds to their strengths.
Jordynn Conner Jordynn Conner 5'10" | SF Denver East | 2021 OK – Small Forward – Denver East
Conner is a very underrated athlete who plays with a chip on her shoulder. The 5-foot-7 forward finished last season with an average of 12.7 points, 9.5 rebounds, 2.9 steals, and 2.1 assists per game. She is the 32nd-ranked 2021 player on PGH Colorado, but could easily make an argument for a higher spot if she continues on her path of improvement from last year. Conner is arguably the top post player on this list, which is saying a lot. Keep an eye out for this one.
Madison Manson Madison Manson 5'11" | PF Arvada West | 2021 State CO – Power Forward – Arvada West
This 5-foot-11 forward is, perhaps, the biggest sleeper on this list. Ranked 63rd in the PGH Colorado 2021 rankings, Manson was a significant contributor to her team’s success last year, on and off the court. She is a true leader who adjusts her game to the needs of the team, which is a rare quality at this level. She has averaged 4.9 points and 3.8 rebounds per game over her career, but her 7.4 ppg average during last season helped the Wildcats reach the playoffs for the first time in almost a decade. Manson is a low flyer on the radar with serious potential.
