Caroline Cady | Carmel Christian | G/F 2022
Cady is a tough opponent because she can play all over the court. She showed excellent post moves under the basket, and she made some nice moves with the ball to create separation from her defender when showing off her midrange shot. She can also shoot behind the arc. On defense, she consistently made blocks and grabbed rebounds for her team showing her domination inside.
Abriel Thrash | Arborbrook Christian Academy | G 2022
Thrash continues to show that she can guard any position on the court. She is capable of running with the guards, and she has the length to be a dominant defender against the post players. Her hands seem to always be in the way of opposing offenses trying to get a play going, and she fights for every rebound. She can run up and down the court quickly which is seen with how much she is involved in fast breaks whether she is grabbing the steal herself and pushing the ball up or making a run to get the pass and the bucket. She was showing off her shot from behind the arc as well as her ability to drive the ball and make plays after separating herself from her opponent.
Monique Cepeda | Arborbrook Christian Academy | G 2022
Cepeda seems to consistently be responsible for guarding the opponents’ best player. This shows that her athleticism and ability to play defense well is top notch. She is speedy running up and down the court usually being the first one back on defense or breaking away to receive a pass on a fast break. She has the ability to shoot from everywhere, and her quick release from behind the arc makes her very difficult to defend. On offense, she is constantly moving into the gaps of the defense being involved in every play and showing that her IQ is very high at such a young age.
Danielle Kacerosky | Charlotte Catholic | PG/SG 2022
Kacerosky showed that she is a true floor general running the point for her team at the scrimmage. She handles the ball well and was able to direct her teammates where to go and what play to run in order to score. She showed that she can handle the ball aggressively driving it inside, or she can find an open teammate with a great pass in order for them to contribute. She was vocal on both sides of the court showing her true leadership.
