The OGBR event last weekend not only had several seniors looking for a home, but the 2022s who were there were very talented. Loves the competitiveness they showed as the coaches in attendance saw some kids who can help their program.
As many times as I have seen her game, it seems like it has gotten even stronger. Her game has improved with her handles to run the show and is able to create more on offense. She can still light it up from the perimeter out beyond the arc, but her short range game is better. Moves well, can run in transition and has good body control. Excellent handles, can find the open player and has a coaches mentality. More to come from her as she attends events throughout the fall.
Tegan Bartoe. 5-9 Vinton County
Really liked the way she plays under control and smart. A heady player, she always look to do what it takes for her team to win. Showed good pick and pop skills with solid handles. Does a nice job defensively, able to play under the boards. Rebounds well and showed some tough grittiness that would open the eyes of coaches at the next level.
Bailey Broughton, 5-9 Cincinnati Mount Notre Dame
Plays bigger than she is, able to score at the rim against bigger players. Also impressed with her versatility and ability to step out and be effective on the perimeter. Just a solid, well coached kid who knows the game. She knows where to be, and who to get the best shot. Can be a big factor on such a talented team.
Abby Wolterman, 6-0 Cincinnati Mount Notre Dame
I will admit, I didn’t know much about her game in detail until I saw her play last weekend. The first thing that stuck out to me is her long athletic build that allows her compete in any style of offense. She runs the floor very well, can finish at the rim, and can use either hand. She has good range, can knock down the big shot and defend.
Isabella Cassoni, 5-5 Waynesville
This kid opened plenty of eyes with her toughness and command running the show for her offense. Consummate point guard with all the skills for the next level. She was in charge on the court. Can effectively shoot the three, midrange and get to the rim. Great handles and a good decision maker. Her on-ball defense was also impressive. D2 level kid with a lot of upside.
