Continue ReadingThis past week I had the chance to see some top level talent in a workout run by Justin Barrington of Pure Sweat. The group was put through some high level drills that showed their ability to play all aspects of the game. The girls also got a chance to compete in some 5 on 5 play and show what they could do in a live game situation. I had previously highlighted the Illinois girls and here we take a look at the Missouri group that was in attendance.
- JaNyla Bush is a 5’7 2024 Guard from Whitfield. JaNyla is an elite point guard that has played the game at a very high level for a long time. As an incoming freshman she already plays and carries herself like a veteran. She can handle the ball and play defense at a level that coaches want from their point guard. As she continues to gain experience and strength she can only improve her outside shot and extend her range which will give her another level to her game. This is a high level player that will garner high level attention for the next 4 years.
- Azaria Moore Azaria Moore 5'11" | SF Vashon | 2022 State MO is a 5’11 2022 Forward from Vashon. Azaria is a transfer from Granite City and should be a nice addition to the team. She is extremely unselfish and will fit in nicely with any group. Azaria will rebound well on both ends and can be very effective in the pick and roll offense. She will set very good screens and roll hard. If the best option is the pick and pop she has a nice touch and shot from the 15-18 foot range. Azaria is the kind of stretch 4 that you can run your offense through and will be nice fit for a D2 or power NAIA/D3 looking for the point forward.
- Tkiyah Nelson Tkiyah Nelson 5'10" | CG Whitfield | 2023 State MO is a 5’10 Wing from Whitfield. ” Te Te’ is a player that had a big year as a freshman for Whitfield. She scored 7 points per game but also contributed 4 boards, 2 assists and 2 steals per game. Te Te is sort of like a Swiss Army Knife. She has many different tools and talents, whatever you need in your situation she has the skill in her pocket and can pull it out. She is quick and can jump so the athletic ability is there to do about anything. To maximize her game she can continue to improve her ball handling and her shooting.
This a very talented group that are all associated with the Brad Beal Elite/Lady Eagles program. I have enjoyed each opportunity to watch them play and all 3 have bright futures in the game. I want to thank Justin along with BBE/Lady Eagles coaches Jonathan Bush and Neal Proemsey for putting this together and inviting me to attend.
