The season being cut short this year, players are looking to make an immediate impact as they have been working on their game over the summer/fall.
Let’s take a look at some of this seniors that have made huge strides, and will make an immediate impact this season.
Tia Slade Tia Slade 5'11" | SF Highlands Ranch | 2021 State CO (Highlands Ranch)
Slade having to sit out last year had a good summer showing, and shows that she can be a threat to help boost the already talented Highlands Ranch team. Standing at 5-foot-11 she is a high energy player who is tough to keep off the glass. Slade will bring relentless effort on both ends of the floor, and is a an able defender. She also shows signs of being able to knock down shots from the midrange out to the three point line, and can finish inside the paint. Slade also has the ability to finish around the rim with either hand, and has good footwork.
KaCee Kyle KaCee Kyle 5'8" | CG Cherry Creek | 2021 State CO (Cherry Creek)
Kyle has great physicality to her game, and does a tremendous job getting to the basket at will. She has a high IQ, and is phenomenal at pass ing to open teammates. She also shows the ability to knock down open shots, and does well moving without the ball . Kyle had a good summer showing, and will look to be one of the leaders on a team that competes year after year for the state title. She averaged 8.0 points per game on 82-of-231 (35 percent) from the field. She also averaged 3.4 rebounds, 2.4 assist, and 1.1 steals per game. Building on a good summer showcasing, she will be a valuable piece to the Cherry Creek team.
Samantha Jones Samantha Jones 6'0" | SF Regis Jesuit | 2021 State CO (Regis Jesuit)
Jones standing at 6-foot-0 shows signs of being a versatile player with her ability to shoot the ball, and score in the post. She has great hands making her a easy target when making entry passes to the post. Jones a lefty has a soft touch around the rim making her an efficient scorer. She averaged 10.9 points per game on 119-of-210 (57 percent) from the field. She made one of the biggest jumps in our rankings, and proved that she can be a dominant player when she steps on the floor. She shot the ball from behind the arc 10-of-25 (40 percent) showing that she is an able shooter.
Brianna Linnear Brianna Linnear 5'8" | CG Rangeview | 2021 State CO (Rangeview)
Linnear plays with a lot of heart, and passion. She loves to do the tangibles that will boost the energy of her team. She is extremely athletic for her size, and has tremendous foot speed. Linnear is a extremely gifted passer delivering the ball on time, and on target. She is a willing defender using her foot speed to keep the opposing player in front averaging 3.3 steals per game. She also averaged last year 13.4 points on 122-of-328 (37 percent) from the field. Linnear athleticism allows to be a great rebounding guard averaging 4.4 rebounds per game. She has been improving year after year, and coming to a new season looking to add more to her game.
Breelyn Robinson Breelyn Robinson 5'7" | CG Grandview | 2021 State CO (Grandview)
Robinson another player that has great foot speed allowing her to be a threat in transition, and getting her hands in passing lanes. She prides herself on her defense making it tough to get by her. She has been developing her offensive game adding value to her stock with a good summer showcase. On a team that is one of the best teams in the country Robinson has been showing that she can be a key part to Grandview this season. Robinson quickness allows her to get to the rim at will. She averaged 2.6 points on 27-of-84 (32 percent) from the floor, and 1.9 steals per game.
