Mary Spry for the Piedmont Lady Vipers is a tall athlete who knows how to use her length. She had multiple blocks against Team Curry and jumped into passing lanes consistently showing that she has a great ability to track the ball on defense. She even inhibited multiple fast breaks for her opponents by running back and grabbing the steal before the other team was in the right position. She was strong in the post moving her defender where she wanted to go, and she even showed off her outside shot.
Haley Long did a great job controlling the ball. She moved well with the ball and pushed it up the court. Additionally, she did well moving to find the right position to pass into her teammate. She was an important piece for the Vipers when breaking the press shown by Team Curry.
Zaire Jones is very athletic moving from block to block making her presence known inside. She has an array of post moves that she uses to make her points, and she found ways to get her teammates involved. She moves well all over the court and knows how to constantly relocate and reposition herself in order to be effective. She was dominant on defense as well making steals and grabbing rebounds.
Hailey Kidder ran the point guard position for the Vipers for most of the game. She showed that she can do well handling the pressure of a press, and make smart decisions with her passes. She is a hustler diving after loose balls and was not scared of contact when driving the ball.
Leah Hinceman did well positioning herself in the post and found ways to immediately contribute to her team off the bench. She made some great moves without the ball and positioned herself perfectly to receive the pass. She had some clutch free throws down the stretch for her team, and she created those opportunities by jumping into passes causing the other team to foul her.
