Halle Chaffin was a dominant player all over the court. She was able to make midrange jumpers after creating separation between her and her defender, and she consistently positioned herself well to make post moves. Her aggressiveness with the ball allowed her to make many trips to the free throw line.
Gabrielle Tapley was a force not to be messed with inside. She moved well to the right areas of the court and positioned herself strategically to make a play with the ball. She was a strong rebounder setting herself up for some good put-backs. On defense, she was all over her opponents jumping into passing lanes and picking the pockets of the players in front of her. These steals were quickly taken up the court where she fought through contact for some points.
McKenzie Taylor came right off the bench making a steal that turned into a fast break. Jumping into passing lanes continued for her throughout the game. Her vision of the court translated well on offense making great entry passes to her post players. She made some great floaters and hit a big three pointer just when Team Carolina was trying to close the gap.
Nykeriasia Coleman Nykeriasia Coleman 5'6" | CG Lancaster | 2022 State SC was an excellent ball handler for PSB. She consistently pushed the ball up the court and made moves blowing by her defenders. She had some great pull up jumpers and was successful shooting behind the arc.
Anna Mathis ran full steam ahead when handling the ball blowing by defenders for some layups when her team was making a comeback. She was consistently the first one back for some fast break points, and she handled any kind of contact that she went up against.
Reece Johnson was superb on defense. It seemed like her hands were always in the way causing deflections and steals ending the possession for Team Carolina. She helped control the ball, especially against a tough press.
Marissa Sorvillo was strong late in the game for PSB. She handled the ball against a tough defense and was aggressive driving the ball inside. She weaved in and out of her opponents moving up and down the court with the ball scoring points to give her team the lead.
