New Jersey had a number of pass-first players a season ago. There will be some talent returning that can dish it out with the best of them. Let’s take a look at some top returning facilitators in the state.
Caitlyn Decker Caitlyn Decker 5'6" | PG Red Bank Regional | 2021 State NJ , Red Bank Regional, Sr. – Decker showcased her ability to get assists a season ago in a strong junior season. She finished with 173 assists in 26 games, good for an average of 6.7 assists per game. Decker posted 10 or more assists in games against Toms River East, Matawan, Absegami and Lacey last year. Expect more of the same from Decker as she enters her senior year.
Eniya Scott Eniya Scott 5'6" | PG Bayonne | 2022 State NJ , Bayonne, Jr. – Scott was extremely consistent at facilitating in her sophomore season for Bayonne, finishing with 188 total assists in 29 games. Scott reached double-digit assists in two games, including 12 assists in the season opener against North Bergen. Scott is a presence on both ends and should have a very productive season for the Bees.
Olivia Falicki, Palmyra, Sr. – Falicki showed flashes of a great distributor in her sophomore season for Palmyra, totaling 171 assists in 29 games, an average of 5.9 assists per game. While she is tough on the defensive end, her best part of her game may be her ability to get teammates involved. She had nine or more assists seven times last season.
Zanai Jones Zanai Jones 5'5" | PG Hudson Catholic | 2021 State NJ , Hudson Catholic, Sr. – Jones sure knows how to fill up a box score. Not only was she a prolific scorer last year but also able to get rebounds and get her teammates involved. Jones finished with 154 assists in 29 games to go with 523 points and 162 rebounds. Jones looks for a strong senior year before heading off to Villanova.
Julia Corella, Ramapo, Jr. – Corella had a solid sophomore season for Ramapo. She finished the year with 157 assists in 29 games. While rebounding is likely the best part of her game, Corella was typically good for five assists a game. She can score and also get steals. Corella will look to take that leap from her sophomore year to junior year.
