Destiny Thomas Destiny Thomas 5'10" | SF McCracken County | 2023 State KY – 5’10″ – SF – McCracken Co.
Destiny has great size to play on the perimeter, but she also has the athletic ability to go with it. She will be one of the top players in the 1st Region this season. Destiny led McCracken Co. in points and rebounds last season while also shooting 36% from deep. She can score in bunches and if she can keep improving her outside touch and free throw shooting, expect bigger scoring numbers from her this year. She has already received an offer from Northern Kentucky University.
Xaviara Smalley Xaviara Smalley 6'3" | C Bethlehem | 2023 State KY – 6’2″ – C – Bethlehem
Xaviara played for Elizabethtown last season, but she only played in 18 games. She averaged nearly a double-double with 11.7 points and 9.2 rebounds per game. With her size and athleticism, she is hard to handle on the boards. She excelled on the offensive glass and with easy put backs. Expect big things from Xaviara at Bethlehem, which will be a favorite in the 5th Region this season. Xaviara has received an offer to play at the University of Cincinnati.
Macy Runner Macy Runner 5'6" | PG Nelson County | 2023 State KY – 5’7″ – CG – Nelson Co.
Macy is the true definition of combo guard. She has top notch scoring ability, but she also has tremendous play making skills to create opportunities for her teammates. She led her team in rebounding and shot over 70% from the free throw line. If she can improve her consistency from behind the arc, Macy will become that much tougher to stop. She has received offers from Western Kentucky University and Murray St. University.
Kay Freihofer Kay Freihofer 5'7" | SG Cooper | 2023 State KY – 5’7″ – SG – Cooper
Kay will be ready to bounce back after an injury left her only playing 5 games last season. But in those 5 games, she showed that she is one of the top players in the class of 2023. She averaged 13 points and 7 rebounds per game. Kay also shot 75% from the free throw line. Cooper is another one of those teams that has a lot of young talent, so look for them to make some noise this season in Northern Kentucky. Kay has received an offer from Northern Kentucky University.
