As we always say, these rankings are not a finished product and the high school season will allow us a chance to get a closer look at the players who may have felt slighted on these rankings. The fact that a player is ranked at all means that we – and the college coaches who use our service – are watching.
No. 1 – Darianna Littlepage-Buggs Darianna Littlepage-Buggs 6'1" | SF Classen SAS | 2022 State #24 Nation OK | 6-1 SF | Classen SAS | @DariannaBuggs22
Darianna is one of the best prospects to come out of the state in a long time. She is just made differently than the other players we have seen at her height. She is bouncy and very athletic. Littlepage-Buggs can do it all for Classen SAS and is a tremendous shooter and ballhandler. She runs the court very well and is lethal in transition due to her ability to finish and play through contact. She also has outstanding vision and can make all of the passes you could ask of a 6-1 forward. She plays hard in the paint and grabs a lot of rebounds. On the offensive glass, she is a scoring machine with her ability to rebound and put the ball back up very quickly. She is an elite prospect, a future high Division-I player and already holds offers from Georgia, Texas A&M and UNC among others.
No. 2 – Karley Johnson Karley Johnson 5'9" | CG Mustang | 2022 State OK | 5-9 CG | Mustang | @KareyJohnsonOK
Karley is one of those players that when you go to watch her team’s game and whether you went to see her or not, you’re going to see her! Every single play seems to have her involved in it. She has a nose for the ball, as they say. She is there drawing charges when the other team is on the break. She disrupts the passing lanes and has very quick hands, leading to numerous steals. She has great size and fights hard under the rim for rebounds. She can shoot from anywhere in the gym and has a good chance of making it. She is just a star. After the 2022 season is over, Johnson will head to Arkansas to join fellow Oklahomans Rylee Langerman Rylee Langerman 5'9" | CG CHA | 2020 State OK and Ginger Reece Ginger Reece 5'11" | CG Lawton Ike | 2019 State OK .
No. 3 – Myka Perry Myka Perry 5'10" | CG Norman | 2022 State OK | 5-10 CG | Norman | @MykaPerry
Perry is one of the most dynamic true point guards to ever come out of Oklahoma. At Norman, she is called upon to orchestrate one of the most potent offenses in the state and keep the ball moving around to all of the big-time offensive weapons at her disposal. She also is no slouch at shooting the ball herself. She can get buckets when she needs to and as the years go by and the stars begin to leave Norman, she may be relied upon even more. Defensively she is a nightmare for the opposing ballhandler and is a coach on the court. Myka will be going to the University of Florida upon graduation to join a rapidly improving squad who could be a contender in the SEC by the time she arrives.
