These girls are new and we watched them play over this Pandemic with certain teams and certain camp events across the country, because we all know that California is not allowing events yet. Hope you enjoy this list as well, it was tough to put together, but we were able to bang it out for your eyes to see. Here is the following prospects that were newcomers to the list.
2024, 6’1, C, Niya Price Niya Price 6'1" | C State CA – Niya is a dog in the paint for her team, we saw this kid play against older girls and eat up the boards like they were not even standing there. She can run the floor with ease and finish in transition and she is equally capable of sealing her opponent and finishing over both the left and right shoulders in the paint. She is a terror cutting to the basket for scores and sets some good screens for her teammates and can slip if opportunity presents itself. Defensively she can improve, but all youngsters have that issue, she needs to know when to hedge the screen or charge the guard in the trap and get back to her position. Player in our book, coaches should already be looking at her.
2024, 5’10, CG, Gabby Robinson Gabby Robinson 5'10" | CG Mater Dei | 2024 State CA – Dynamic big guard/wing with a nice skill set on the floor, she is aggressive, she can score the ball and is one of the savviest ones on the court most times. She knows how to use her size, dominating little guards, but her best attribute is her vision to setup teammates for scores. She has to work on her focus as most freshmen do, but she is intimidating to opponents none the less. Nice midrange shot, nice get to the basket game and a developing three point shooter in our eyes.
2024, 5’10, PF, Mackenly Randolph Mackenly Randolph 5'10" | PF Sierra Canyon | 2024 State CA – Mackenly is a monster in the paint, unstoppable if one-on-one and is wise enough to throw the ball back out if she is double-teamed. She can run the floor and catch and finish, she can maneuver down low and score over both shoulders. She is gonna be special, cause she finds ways to score inside an it almost looks effortless. She is a bucket walking and her teammates look for her on the block for easy scores off the catch with her good hands and excellent footwork. Her father most of taught her well, cause this kid is fun to watch and you can see his game in hers.
2024, 5’1, CG, Roosevelt HS, Ava Ayon Ava Ayon 5'1" | PG Lindsey | 2024 State CA – Small guard type body that is very quick on the floor and agile, loved to mix it up on the floor and got after it on defense, was a little spark plug on the floor all day. She is the type of guard a coach needs on the floor, because she will be about all production and trying to get the team to win, was impressed with how she plays the game. Handles were tight, she could shoot the midrange and was a consistent defender.
2024, 5’9, SF, Glacier MS, Taylor McClellan – Young post presence with a very athletic body and skill set, is still developing into that post player that will be a big-time recruit in the near future. She had decent footwork and great hands, she is could catch and score in the paint over both shoulders at this young age. She ran the floor and was able to seal and finish thru contact. She will be a force to reckon with in the near future.
