The two-day event featured some of the top talent from the Northern California area as well as players from neighboring areas such as Washington and Nevada. Each class was well represented from 2021 all the way down to 2025/26. I attended the event both Sat Oct. 17 and Sun Oct. 18. Here’s a look at some of the top players from the class of 2024 that I saw:
1. Jasmyne Torres – Fernley HS (Fernley, NV)
Torres was one of the ultimate competitors at the camp. She doesn’t back down from any challenge and she gives it her all. Don’t let her size fool you. She’s a great ballhandler who was consistently one of the best in dribbling drills. She can beat defenders off the dribble and get to the rim. She’s quick and fearless with a great motor and isn’t scared to challenge bigger defenders at the rim.
2. Taylee Clements – Chico HS (Chico, CA)
Clements is a knockdown shooter from three-point range. She is solid moving without the ball and getting herself open at the three-point line. Spots up well with her feet squared with the rim. She’s quick and can make decisive moves to the rim. Defensively, she is disciplined and stays down on shot fakes. Slides her feet well on the defensive end. Can play both point guard and shooting guard.
3. Leah Nicole Nelson – Christian Brothers HS (West Sacramento, CA)
Nelson was another one of the camp’s top ballhandlers who also finished consistently as one of the best in dribbling drills. Shes quick and she sprints down the floor in transition. She’s a very good decision maker with the ball in her hands. Good upside as a point guard. She’s athletic for her size and can knife her way into the lane to get to the rim.
4. Kindle Rowe – Damonte Ranch HS (Reno, NV)
Rowe has major upside as a post player. She’s only a freshman and is already 6’3. She’s very strong in the paint; she can get to where she wants to go against most defenders. She’s got strong moves to the rim and showed the ability to seal off her defender in the post. Unlike many players, she doesn’t bring the ball down near the rim, she keeps the ball high and protected and turns immediately to shoot.
5. Syri Prevo – Mayfair HS (Norwalk, CA)
Prevo is a wing that has strong upside too. What stood out the most to me about her was her handles. She’s a solid ballhandler who dribbles under control and keeps it low to the ground. Dribbles with her head up. She has a knack for scoring; all the tools to be an elite level scorer at the high school level. She was one of the top players at the camp in one-on-one/competition drills.
