While those five will definitely be in the mix, there was one glaring omission. Where was Rutgers Prep senior Christina Dalce Christina Dalce 6'2" | SF Rutgers Prep | 2021 State NJ on that list? Despite an outstanding high school career, Dalce is often overlooked. There is nothing flashy or mixtape worthy about her game, she simply gets it done the old-fashioned way – with sweat and hard work.
This past weekend the 6-2 Villanova commit led Rutgers Prep to the team title in the No Boyz Allowed league. With Dalce getting it done on both ends of the floor, Prep knocked off surprising New Providence in the championship game. The league had 34 teams in it and Rutgers Prep finished undefeated.
Dalce is known for her motor. She never quits on any possession and can defend every position on the floor. She is a terror on the boards and takes bigger defenders to the cup off the dribble. Throw in the fact she is a fiery competitor and it’s easy to see what makes her so special.
Dalce, who received a lot of support from teammates Belle Pellecchia, Kylie Favours, Leyla Castro and Mikayla Blakes, eliminated state powers Trenton Catholic and St. John Vianney en route to the chip.
Dalce was named No Boyz Allowed Defensive Player of the Year and the Most Outstanding Player of the playoffs.
Other No Boyz Allowed award winners include: Teaneck’s Deja Young won the Most Outstanding Player for the regular season.
New Providence’s Lindsay Kinum won the Sportsmanship award.
Ramapo’s Madison Schiller Madison Schiller 5'8" | CG Ramapo | 2022 State NJ was named the league’s Most Improved Player.
