Marissa Covington, 5’10”, PF, Piper, 2022 — While I would like the solidly built power forward get faster, Covington did transition well.
Mary Crossland, 5’8″, SG, Blue Valley North, 2022 — The lengthy Crossland showed solid defensive fundamentals one-on-one. If she can get a step quicker she will be more disruptive to quicker ball handlers looking to get to the basket.
Allana Curry, 5’7″, CG, Wichita Southeast, 2022 — Curry showed consistent transition speed on both ends.
Asia Dawson Asia Dawson 5'6" | SG Wichita East | 2022 State KS , 5’6″, PG/SG, Wichita East, 2022 — Running a substantial amount of point during the Expo Dawson showed herself to be a solid distributor as well as being able to get to the basket with speed. She also is a consistent perimeter threat and a shut down defender.
Serenity Jackson, 5’3″, PG, Wichita South, 2022 — Jackson consistently showed quickness off the bounce and the ability to elevate on finishes when challenged by bigs. Uses the glass well on when finishing. Athletic with speed.
Isabella Lopez, 5’6″, CG, United (TX), 2021 — Lopez showed her athleticism and quickness in the half court. She showed good IQ off the bounce, using it to draw defenders for to set up a teammate for a high percentage shot with a timely, quick pass. Would like to see her improve her handles when she’s bodied. Lopez did score a reverse layup with speed.
Victoria Pedruzzi, 5’6″, CG, Bishop Carroll, 2023 — Pedruzzi was very active all the time. She ran well, hustled, and moved well without the ball. She showed solid handles, looking to go baseline as well as hit teammates well around the free throw area with kick-outs off drives.
Sara Springer, 5’4″, PG, Wamego, 2024 — A very game player who does not quit, Springer will be a different player with experience. She often matched up with some of the stronger players in the upper classes, took some lumps, picked up doors that got blown off, and kept competing.
Madison Walt Madison Walt 5'9" | CG Trego | 2022 State KS , 5’10”, W, Trego, 2022— Walt transitioned and hustled well. She showed good awareness of play development and recognizing where she needed to be as it unfolded.
Emree Zars Emree Zars 5'10" | PG Mill Valley | 2022 State KS , 5’10”, SG/SF, Mill Valley, 2022 — Zars played and defended several positions. She competed hard and consistently well the entire event. Very fundamentally sound, Zars ran the floor well, and showed good hands and solid game IQ. She consistently took good shots.
