Stream Black Stream Black 5'10" | SF Harrisburg | 2022 State IL
Stream is a 5’10 2022 Wing from Harrisburg. She is an excellent scorer that has shown an ability to shoot the 3-point shot at a high level for Coach Stewart. She will no doubt be the go to scorer and will be depended on to make key baskets each night. Stream has a long frame that she can use to score in the paint just as well as the outside. Stream is an excellent student and a player that has had to work through some tough times off the court. These experiences have made her tough mentally and made some of her goals very clear to her. One of them is to play basketball at the college level and I think her junior season will be a good opportunity for her to show her ability to do just that.
Asya Smith Asya Smith 5'4" | CG Pleasant Plains | 2021 State ILAsya is a 5’5 2021 Point Guard from Pleasant Plains. Coming off a state championship season Asya and her teammates will have the challenge of picking up the production left behind with the graduation of the 2020 class. Asya will no doubt need to step up her scoring some but is certainly not the type of player to force the game. She has very good handles and even better court vision. She always has her head up and is looking for the open person. Asya will likely play with the ball in her hands more often this year and have the freedom to create some opportunities to score. She already has interest from quite a few schools, but if she gets a chance to let the season play out I believe she will shine very bright and turn even more heads.
Alecia Doyle Alecia Doyle 5'7" | CG Carterville | 2022 State ILAlecia is a 5’8 2022 Guard from Carterville. Alecia is coming off a strong sophomore campaign in which the Lady Lions had a nice run to the 2A state tournament. With the strong class of 2020 gone Alecia will no doubt be the main focus of this years team. She is a very athletic player that can use her skills and quickness to create space for her shots. Alecia also jumps very well so she has the ability to get shots off when there does not appear to enough space. Alecia already hold two D1 offers, from SIU and UIC and I expect that number to continue to expand.
Natalie Iberg Natalie Iberg 5'9" | SF Greenville | 2021 State ILNatalie is a 5’9 2021 Guard from Greenville. Natalie has played a vital role for Coach Dothager over the past two seasons but is now set to be a player that is the focal point of the team. She has seen her game and production increase from her sophomore year where she came off the bench to her junior season where she was a starter and a double figure scorer. Natalie hit 61 3-point shots and scored 11 points per game for the Lady Comets but the two leading scorers have graduated and are playing college basketball. That leaves an opportunity for Natalie to prove her talent and show what she is capable of doing. Natalie is long and athletic with good speed and jumping ability. If she can continue to improve her shooting and ball handling she will be very hard to slow down.
Anaya Davis
Anaya is a 5’10 2021 Forward from Althoff Catholic. Anaya is getting better and better each day that she gets farther away from her knee injury that she suffered right after her sophomore season ended. She was able to play her junior season but was not able to move with the same strength and quickness that she displayed prior to the injury. At times she seemed to settle for bad shots because she had a hard time fighting for a better shot. With that said she still averaged 15 points and 7 rebounds per game. Anaya showed signs of her old game over the summer playing for the Phenom organization. When she is right she has the strength and mobility to battle in the lane with players 3-4 inches taller than her. She can establish position and hold it with her very strong frame. In addition due to the injury Anaya has expanded her range and is much more comfortable on the perimeter. She is definitely a prospect for small colleges to watch.
