Zoe Boston came into the summer as an unknown player, but after several strong showings on the outdoor courts, the Sinai Christian Academy post has people buzzing about her potential. She isn’t afraid to mix it up and uses her body well. She is an elite defender and knows how to position herself for easy offensive putbacks.
Angelica Velez Angelica Velez 5'6" | PG Webb Bell-Buckle | 2023 State TN is the new quarterback for a Trenton Catholic squad with state championship dreams. Everyone knows she can score and pass, but what has been standing out is her emergence as a vocal leader. She holds her teammates accountable and is also the one doing the most cheering after big plays.
At 6-1, Adiana Pacheco will probably play small forward in college, but she plays the five for Hudson Catholic. She stuffs the stat sheet without getting plays called for her. A great rebounder with good hands, she often slows down opponents with much more size than her.
Is there a better guard in New Jersey than Tara Johnson Tara Johnson 5'9" | SG University | 2021 State NJ ? She is so slept on it’s a shame. She runs the show for the New Jersey Demons and University and despite putting up gaudy numbers, doesn’t get the same props as other elite playmakers.
Standing six feet tall, Alexis Davis Alexis Davis 6'0" | SF Woodbury | 2023 State NJ is the definition of a big guard. The sophomore, who plays for Glassboro and Books and Basketball, excels in transition. She is athletic and bouncy, and when her jumper is falling, unguardable at times.
