Below is a list of guards who showed to have high energy each time they stepped on the floor. Each of these guards competed in the Fall Exclusive league.
Carly Drew Carly Drew 5'8" | CG Westfield | 2024 State WI | G
Drew is an athlete that continues to show upside each time she steps on the floor. Her tempo on the floor is contagious; she seems to make her teammates better with her ability to find them open and make plays. She can create for herself and her teammates off the dribble but doesn’t force anything either. Her movement on the offensive end is advanced- she does well splitting the defenders and handling pressure on the perimeter. She is not afraid to attack the lane and draw the foul at the rim.
Olivia Peterson | G
Peterson is a smooth combo guard that plays with an elite understanding of the game. She transitions from slow to fast exceptionally well, and she often lulls defenders to sleep because of this change of pace. This is undoubtedly the most noticeable in the pick-and-roll. Peterson has great positional length which allows her to cover a lot of vertical and horizontal ground in a hurry. This also gives her a huge advantage when driving to the rim; Peterson can easily throw off defensive timing with a mix of short and long strides. She utilizes scoop layups with either hand to avoid contesting defenders as well.
Felicity Figlinski (City Figlinski) | G
Figlinski is a very solid prospect; she can do a lot or her team. She has a great straight-line drive with the ability to bounce off defenders and still finish the play. Figlinski is strong with the ball and very rarely is rattled by defenders. She has a good shot off the dribble, both from deep and midrange. Specifically, her midrange fade-way is very advanced. She’s a great facilitator and leader for her team, shown by her ability to run the offense. Figlinski can truly play either point guard, shooting guard, or small forward; this will help her and her team so much when she gets into foul trouble.
Ellie Magestro-Kennedy | G
Magestro- Kennedy has fantastic vision, especially when she’s driving downhill. She’s able to make no-look and dump-off passes with ease when she’s attacking. Defenders have to play true to her as she has really developed her offensive game. She impresses me by her ability to create a game for herself. She’s smart with the ball but knows when to attempt the perimeter shot. Her pull up vision has really improved as she’s become more confident and consistent. She’s great in transition, either leading it or just running the floor. She has a smooth jumper of the bounce but especially off the catch.
Kyla Hendricks | G
Hendricks is a fantastic scorer and is able to rack up points at all three levels. She can drive, pull up, and shoot from three point territory. She is consistent and comfortable with the ball in her hands. She’s a super athletic guard with great spring in her step; her attack on the right side is explosive. She brings energy on both ends of the floor and is an impact defender. Hendricks is scrappy on the ball and has great footwork to cause turnovers. Her communication on the floor stuck out as she really facilitated where her teammates should be to get open.
