Emiya Gallman Emiya Gallman 6'0" | C Blythewood | 2021 State SC | Blythewood
Standing at 6’0, Gallman is versatile all over the paint. She can certainly set herself up for a jump shot on the elbow of the free throw line or use power dribbles to get herself inside to make a lay up. She crashes the boards with aggressive moves making sure that she is the only one who can grab the rebound. She can score off of these second chance opportunities as well. She can position her body to seal off her opponents in order to grab the entry pass or clear some space to allow her teammates to drive the ball. On defense, she is a force inside causing blocks and grabbing steals for her team to end the opponents’ possessions.
Taylor Thomas Taylor Thomas 6'1" | C Clover | 2021 State SC | Clover
Thomas also stands at 6’0, and she is a threat in the paint, especially on defense. She is known to grab steals for her team and immediately push it up the court leading to fast break opportunities for her team. She can track the ball well making blocks, too. Thomas can handle the ball dribbling up the court well, and she is smart with her passes getting her teammates involved. She is someone who is certainly an asset because she can create her own offense by her play making abilities on defense.
Makayla Jamerson Makayla Jamerson 5'6" | PF South Pointe | 2021 State SC | South Pointe
Jamerson has a whole lot of power and an arsenal of post moves that she can use with her 5’11 frame. She is constantly aware of where she is on the court in order to make a play with the ball whether she is posting up to score her own points or finding an open teammate, so they can contribute. She has no fear of contact, and she fights for every rebound making sure she is the one who comes down with the ball. She even seems to look for contact drawing charges to force turnovers for the opposing teams. When she isn’t posting up inside, find her making some smart cuts into the gaps of the defense in order for her to grab a pass and score.
