Deepfake videos, erroneous or padded stats against non-competitive teams and players that it’s all just mind-boggling to me especially when I’ve put the data out that’s easily comprehendible but I said all of that to say this, “talent is everywhere” and so are players who are Under The Radar. it’s always been that way and it always will be yet I personally have to look at players before I copy what someone else says, be it Blue Star or the North Star, I’m the STAR of my own show and I stand by what I say/write and put on THE GRAM, follow me @girlzprepreport
Valerie Panuco-5’7 G (Whitney HS)
Panuco’s defense has always impressed me prior to catching her in high school yet over the years, she has developed a solid mid-range jumper to go along with her defense and the fact that she understands how to score in the flow as well play within herself are all pluses
Abby Lord -5’10 F (St Agnes HS)
Lord had a breakout summer with a new club team and one thing she never lacked was being a battler who won’t be outworked. She rebounds well in both ends, plays good interior defense, and can finish on the inside after the lick but her handling the ball to attack the rim has gotten better
Amber Williams-5’9 SG (Cy Springs)
Williams falls into that “finds ways to put the ball in the basket” category and watching her shoot the mid to long-range effectively as well as under pressure has always been one of her bright spots yet she’s strong and physical and will battle on the inside where she also finishes
Taliyah Johnson Taliyah Johnson 5'6" | PG Temple | 2021 State TX -5’6 PG (Temple HS)
Johnson is fast, with the ball and under control, and watching her make pinpoint passes going full speed is one of the many things she brings to the table. She can create her shot, the midrange stop, and pop is hard to handle, especially in transition and she can shoot the long ball but running a team deserves a big YES
December Stevenson -5’11 PF (Kinkaid HS)
Stevenson has gone from a back to the basket player that just rebounded and scored off putbacks to a player that can face the basket and score as well as take defenders off the dribble. hard work added to her progression yet her defense outside the paint has also taken off, inside the paint was already there
Ashlyn Ryall-5’9 SG ( Friendswood HS)
Ryall is one of those hard to handle players because she mixes it up so nicely on the offensive end. She can attack and score with either hand as well as create her shot while being tightly defended but she commands the ball in pressure situations and delivers from mid to long-range
Shanna Petty -5’10 SF (Westside HS)
Petty has just progressed every year, she wants this and it shows as her defense puts her among the best in the state, she plays the passing lane like an All-Pro cornerback, and her on-ball defense creates problems but she’s added a deadly midrange that she can create under pressure as well as attack and finish, with flair
Madelyn Tellez-5’7 CG (Dobie HS)
Tellez continues to show me that she can flat out shoot the ball and doing it while being defended is no problem yet she chooses her shot selection well, doesn’t force anything but that mid to long-range, I’m talking “catch and shoot” as well as her attacking the rim multiple ways is solid
Ajailah Ogiemwonyi-5’10 SF (John Cooper HS)
Ogiemwonyi is another player with that #THROWBACK mentality and watching outrebound players over “the magic number” which is 6’0 as well as finish caught my eye last season. Yeah she scored in the paint but that midrange has taken off and when you add her defense, as well as playing the passing lane, that’s huge
