Blythe Crawley-5’6 G(Oklahoma Express)
Crawley excited me at the Duel States Girls Combine in Dallas and I don’t know if it was how she approached the game, I’m big on #THROWBACK stuff, or her drive yet it probably was her jumper as we fast forward to her home state and yeah the jumper was semi-automatic, she’s smooth with the ball, creates under pressure and can either attack, which she finishes strongly after contact or hit a teammate, yes she has good court vision as well but with what I’m seeing now, she will definitely be in the mix
Talia Vann-6’2 P (Lady Jets)
Vann is one of those players whose upside is through the roof and even though she’s nowhere near where she’ll be, she very good right now, and when you factor in her height and she has a legitimate jumper right now, she is definitely going to create some problems trying to defend. She can attack the rim and finish, from the wing, or she can hit the pull-up but let me also add she understands how to create her shot, she’s long and athletic and rebounds on both ends but she also plays the passing lane
Mataya Hall-5’7 (Cy Fair Elite)
Hall showed me early she could create her shot and attack, finish with contact, over and over, and that power she showed just stood out because she understands how to use her body, it’s strong and she’s strong so the combination of that gives her numerous advantages but when you factor in she understands positioning and outrebounds taller players, that’s huge because it shows she’s thinking the game and using things to her advantage but she also scored numerous put-backs against taller players as well
Olivia Watkins-5’11 F (Trae Young Elite Platinum 2025)
Watkins has that college-ready, right now and she also has strength so watching her finish acrobatically as she did on the featured photo had me thinking all sorts of things on positions she could play and with her size, her ability to create her shot as well as the form on her shot, I’m thinking multiple positions, in college she’s so strong and somewhat overpowering on her put-backs, several with players hanging on her but her athleticism gives her so many options, plus she rebounds well
Annie Ferguson-5’11 G/F (Hype)
Ferguson has a nice mix of skills, first of all, she’s a shade or two under the magic number, that’s 6’0, and she can create her shot which can be a pull-up jumper from mid-range, hand in her face doesn’t matter, or it can be taking defenders off the dribble, she handles the ball quite well and once she gets to the rim, she can finish with either hand. I also like the fact that she sees the floor while attacking and doesn’t force anything plus she does a good job rebounding
