Fortunately for college coaches, there are teams in the 757 that have at least 3 prospects on their roster, making just seeing them alone worth the entry. One such school is Salem High School in Virginia Beach. Coach Clark leads a talented trio of girls who are all interesting prospects in their own right.
Quiana Vazquez- 5’7 G ’22
Vazquez is a very dangerous scorer on all levels. Using her quickness and handle, Vazquez is comfortable scoring off the bounce and in traffic. Off the bounce she either finishes with a spin move, other crafty moves or dishes to the open teammate. Her ability to be a constant threat as a scorer frees up her teammates. Look for this junior to be one of the top scorers in the area this year.
Amaris Felton- 5’7 G/W ’21
I think Amaris Felton is the most dangerous player on the team. Felton is a blur on the court, especially off the bounce. Defenders struggle to stop her from getting into the paint. On top of this, Felton is a consistent deep threat spotting up, and loves the pull up from mid range. Felton brings it on both ends, and her size, work ethic and athleticism allows her to guard multiple positions.
Imani Felton- 5’7 G ’21
Imani Felton is probably going to be the most slept on of the trio. The reason for this is Felton is perfectly fine being the 3rd option. However, do not let that fool you, the girl can fill it up across the statlines. Felton is an active defender who can pressure you full court. She also gets in the lane well, either finishing or dishing to the spot up shooters. Felton is a player that does not rely on touches to be productive on the court, making her a very valuable teammate.
