Several teams and players from across the country were in attendance, including a few from Southern California. Here’s a look at some additional SoCal talent who took part in the event.
1. Emma Svoboda – La Quinta 2021
An Oklahoma commit, Svoboda is a good interior player. She sets screens well to help free up her teammates. She’s got great hands in the post. When she catches the ball in the paint, she can make a move quickly as to not let the defense get set. She finishes well at the rim. She’s a good rebounder, particularly on the offensive end to create second chance opportunities.
2. Kayla Cabaccang Kayla Cabaccang 5'3" | PG Chaminade Prep | 2022 State CA – Chaminade 2022
Cabaccang is a quick and crafty guard. She’s a solid ballhandler who can handle defensive pressure. She’s alert, keeps her head up, and pushes the ball in transition. She’s a great passer in the halfcourt, does a good job drawing the defense in and kicking out to open teammates. Good three-point shooter. Active defender who plays the passing lanes and puts pressure on opposing ballhandlers.
3. Lana Wenger – Futures Academy 2021
A Texas Tech commit, Wenger is a forward with good size. She should be a strong frontcourt player at the next level. She’s active in the paint and around the rim and she’s a double-double threat. She can run the floor like a wing and she can step out and shoot a little bit. Good motor/energy and she’s an active defender with good hands. Can anchor a defense in the paint with shot blocking.
4. Kristin Williams – Christian 2021
A San Diego University commit, Williams is the true definition of a sharpshooter. She’s got range that extends beyond the regular three-point line and she can knock those down with consistency. She spots up in transition or in the halfcourt; moves very well without the ball. She’s a solid wing defender too and that might be her calling at the college level is a strong 3&D player.
