Here are a few names of the 2022s and the schools they have either been offered by or committed to this pandemic season. Hope you enjoy this list of girls and evaluations.
2022, 5’2, PG, John Swett HS, Andheya Aurelio Andheya Aurelio 5'2" | PG John Swett HS | 2022 State CA – Dynamic point guard with a scoring mentality can create her own shot in the open court and step back and shoot the three-ball ,has good Court vision and made some nice passes, shows some vocal leadership on defense and understands the game ,I was really impressed with her shot selection and energy level.
2022, 5’6, PG/SG, Rodriguez HS, Camryn Washington Camryn Washington 5'5" | CG Rodriguez HS | 2022 State CA – Quick and shifty point guard with a nice game on her, she has improved quite a bit in her consistency on the floor in every aspect. She could always knock down shots, but she has become much more consistent at her shot and it is becoming much more easy for her to create opportunities for herself. This is gonna improve her stat line this year, she will be averaging about 20ppg by the time the season starts. We love her defensive tenacity, she is a ball hawk on the defensive side of the ball, straight thief.
2022, 6’0, SF, JSerra HS, Hailey Johnson Hailey Johnson 6'0" | SF JSerrra HS | 2022 State CA – Johnson has the potential to develop into a real strong stretch four type player. She’s a forward with good range on her jumpshot. Very comfortable shooting midrange jumpers. She has good size and that helps her establish position in the paint and get easy scoring opportunities. On the defensive end, she’s active and aggressive. She’s a pretty decent rim protector and alters many shots in the paint.
2022, 5’5, PG/SG, MLKing HS, Jordan Arreola Jordan Arreola 5'6" | SG MLKing HS | 2022 State CA – Shifty shooting guard with a nice stroke from the outside, she is crafty, she can handle it and is an all around athlete on the floor. She is a shotmaker, not a shot taker and that goes a long way for a coach who needs a girl who can put the ball in the hole. She can defend the 1 & 2, keeps her opponent in front and is a decent help side defender as well. Her best attribute to the game is her ability to make shots, Coaches, I repeat, her ability to MAKE SHOTS…
2022, 5’3, PG, Chaminade Prep HS, Kayla Cabaccang Kayla Cabaccang 5'3" | PG Chaminade Prep | 2022 State CA – Kayla is a solid point guard with a very high IQ at playing the game, she has had the opportunity to play with seasoned seniors and juniors at Chaminade HS and that has helped her grow as a player each year. She is very coachable and is a very good kid, she is very skilled, can handle it, she can shoot it from all three levels and is a threat to score on the floor with her illusive dribble. Her approach to the game is good as well, she takes to every game like it is her last and she goes out on the floor and gives it her all. She is one of the better young point guards with experience in the class. Expect good things from her this year, time will tell.
2022, 5’8, PG/SG, Crean Lutheran HS, Taylor Feldman Taylor Feldman 5'7" | SG Crean Lutheran HS | 2022 State CA – Feldman’s motor is something that jumped off the page to me immediately. The way she attacked the paint was very appealing, she is a determined player and it showed. She has the type of game where make or miss, she’s coming at you over and over. She is crafty in the lane and has the ability to finish in traffic with either hand. She shot the mid-range, she passed it well and can play with her back to the basket on a smaller guard. Buckets are nothing new, Feldman once poured in 51 as a Freshman at Crean Lutheran. A scrappy defender as well, Feldman really impressed me with how hard she played in a camp setting.
2022, 5’6, CG, American Canyon HS, Trinity Billingsley Trinity Billingsley 5'6" | PG American Canyon HS | 2022 State CA – One of the fastest players I have seen. Everything is done at a high intensity. Is an absolute stellar defensive player. She will not back down on defense, and will never allow a player to dribble past her. Trinity will always fight till the very end to get a steal. She is always outstanding at finishing on the drive. Even if she is under immense pressure she never fails to finish. Trinity has a great jump shot, and it’s a very quick shot as well. She can get it off before a defender can even think about blocking her shot. Trinity averaged 12.4 PPG, and scored a total of 297 points during the 2019-2020 season. She also averaged 2.1 APG, 5.2 RPG, and 2.7 SPG. She really stands out during her games, and always plays at a high competitive level. She plays alongside teammate Jazmine Fontilla Jazmine Fontilla 5'7" | SG American Canyon HS | 2023 State CA , and they help carry the team together. I’m excited to see her play during her Junior and Senior season.
