I hit 5 earlier, here’s another 5 many of whom I’ve seen PERSONALLY so grab some popcorn or better yet, some turkey and gobble this up right here
Raniyah Lewis Raniyah Lewis 5'8" | CG Conroe | 2024 State TX
Lewis has adjusted her game to various situations in the numerous settings I’ve caught her in and she always stands out, this is why I called her a #D1Lock around the 6th grade. She’s a powerful guard that has a variety of moves including acrobatic finishes with contact and that as well as her jumper has helped her make the adjustment at Oak Ridge as she’s averaging double digits and applying tons of heat on the defensive end but she also understands how to make things happen that may not appear on the stat sheet
Nicolette Polocheck Nicolette Polocheck 6'0" | PF Memorial | 2024 State TX
Polocheck is a dual-sport athlete and she came from volleyball and flirted with double-doubles immediately but I had a chance to see her in person against Fulshear and let me tell you something, her #THROWBACK mentality in that paint is about to elevate her even more because “she won’t be outworked” and going after the ball off the rim is second to none, let me loose balls to that but I also enjoy watching her take the “big girls” in high school off the dribble
Simran Williams Simran Williams 5'7" | SG North Shore | 2024 State TX
Williams came into a situation where you had a couple of PGH Texas Top 100 players Chrishelle Washington Chrishelle Washington 5'7" | CG North Shore | 2022 State TX and Ja’Nyla Kennedy Ja’Nyla Kennedy 5'8" | PF North Shore | 2022 State TX were injured so she had to step it up immediately and join Shalayne Morgan Shalayne Morgan 5'9" | CG North Shore | 2023 State TX as their Dynamic Duo and to say Williams answered the call would be an understatement as she began to put up numbers starting with the season opener. She can take defenders off the dribble as well as create her shot, mid to long-range, and with the return of Kennedy, this will help open even more doors for the talented freshman
Zachara Perkins-6’2 PG (St Pius HS)
Perkins has elevated her game and with her growth, on and off the court, the transformation I’m seeing is going to definitely grab some attention. She’s running the 1 in high school and is comfortable doing it while being efficient at distributing the ball and her long-range shooting helps because it definitely gives her options, especially when she can take defenders off the dribble and make the pass but the poise I saw from her down the stretch when she kept the ball with time running out and attacked the rim and scored, she does that with either hand, by the way, told me a lot on what’s coming
Danielle Ruffin-5’5 G (Cy Creek HS)
Ruffin has the opportunity to play behind the two best guards in the state Rori Hunter and Kyndall Hunter Kyndall Hunter 5'8" | SG Cypress Creek | 2021 State #23 Nation TX , both of whom signed with the Univesity of Texas and it helps that she can already play because she’s explosive with the ball, attacks from various angles, and finishes. I like how she creates the jumper in traffic but one huge thing stood out, well another huge thing and that was her poise under pressure.
