These rising seniors have already committed to play in college Maddie Dillinger Maddie Dillinger 6'1" | PF Cuthbertson | 2021 State NC (Lenoir Rhyne University), Emily Cunningham (Emory College),and Kamaria Sheriff (St. Leo University) Outside of them here is who you should know:
Shimiya Taylor: The 5’5 junior guard from Parkwood high school is a tough, hardnosed, player. She was a decent 3 point shooter at over 30% on the season in her sophomore season, she has a decent pull-up game, and she can take her defender off the bounce to the rim. She is crafty once she gets into the paint and can finish and get to the free-throw line. For a guard she rebounds well at nearly 6 per game in her junior season. She has the potential to make a good fit for a college team. She plays AAU for the FBC Carolinas (Swilling) organization.
Imelda McMenamin Imelda McMenamin SG Charlotte Catholic | 2022 NC : The 5’7 junior shooting guard from Charlotte Catholic high school scored 177 points from the 3 point line as a sophomore. She had 6 different games where she knocked down 4+ 3’s, including a game with 7. On top of being a good shooter, she is a scrappy defender and rebounder. She is a hustle player who makes her team better by her effort. She plays AAU for the Charlotte Dream Elite organization.
Miranda Barron: The 5’5 senior guard from Weddington high school is a stat sheet stuffer. As a junior she averaged right at 11 points, 2 steals and assists, and 3 boards per outing. She is best at getting downhill and into the paint, where she is crafty and finishes in a variety of ways. She can take the contact that comes with getting into the paint, she attempted over 100 free-throws and converted 75% of the attempts. Defensively she anticipates and makes plays for her team that converts to easy buckets. She will make a good addition to a college team. She plays AAU for the Phoenix Elite organization.
Kyndall Shivers: The 5’8 junior guard from Marvin Ridge high school is a high motor, hard worker, and has good size and athleticism. Like her peers she shoots the 3 ball pretty well. Her lucky number seemed to be 4 this last season, as she knocked down 4 a game in a 4 game streak, and 4 again in a 3 game streak. She is a pesk on defense, guarding anyone you put in front of her. Another good rebounding guard, she came close to a few double-double’s in her sophomore season. She plays AAU for the Lady Team Charlotte organization.
Ruby Williams Ruby Williams 6'0" | SF Cuthbertson | 2022 State NC : The 6’0 junior forward from Cuthbertson high school is long, athletic, has a high motor, and can do a little bit of everything. She is extremely active on defense, she stays low and uses her size to get a lot of deflections and steals. Once she gets these steals she is comfortable to then push the break. When she is pushing the break she is very good at then making the decision of taking it herself, finding the open teammate, or pulling it out. She is a very good passer for a forward, averaging right at 2 assists per game. She can shoot the 3 (has a very smooth looking release), post up smaller defenders, and has no problem driving it. Over the next 2 seasons she really could have huge breakout seasons, and easily help out someone’s college roster. She plays AAU for the Team Curry organization.
Reagan Iovino Reagan Iovino 5'4" | CG Cuthbertson | 2023 State NC : The 5’3 sophomore combo guard from Cuthbertson high school might be small but do not let her size get to you! She knocked down 80 3’s in 28 games played this season (43% from the floor). She can catch fire, because in a 3 game stretch as a freshman she went: 6 for 9, 5 for 9, 6 for 10…oh and in 1 of those games she did it in 11 minutes played! She was selected to the “Talking Preps All-Freshman” team at the end of the season. She is a feisty hard worker. And playing with the upper classman she has, her leadership skills and talent will keep getting better. She plays AAU for the Lady Attack organization.
