Amarie Godwin Amarie Godwin 5'4" | PG Brooks DeBartolo | 2021 State FL – Brooks DeBartolo
Amarie is one of the toughest players you’ll find. She controlled the floor for Brooks in a big win over Clearwater that saw a huge Phoenix 3rd quarter comeback after being down 10 at the break. The game was kept close by her ability to do everything from diving on the floor to creating on the drive. Amarie finished the game with 14 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals.
Kendal Cheesman Kendal Cheesman 6'2" | PF HB Plant | 2021 State FL – Plant
Kendal has led Plant to an early 3-0 start with no team coming within 20 points of the Panthers so far. Over the course of this tournament, she put up 39 points in two games on nearly 60% shooting from the field. She hit four 3’s against Braden River with absolutely no second guessing when she caught the ball. You could see it in her eyes when the ball got one pass away, she was ready to mentally and physically shoot the ball over any defender. The Vanderbilt commit also had a double-double in the first game, and she had 24 total rebounds between the two games.
Kailyn Gilbert Kailyn Gilbert 5'8" | CG IMG Academy | 2022 State FL – Seffner Christian
Just about everyone and their momma knows who Kailyn Gilbert Kailyn Gilbert 5'8" | CG IMG Academy | 2022 State FL is. She was the leading scorer in the tournament and had 32 in their loss to Clearwater. Kailyn is ranked number 18 in the nation’s 2022 class by ESPN for a reason. She’s a prolific scorer who drops it from all over and uses her strength and athleticism to do a little bit of everything. This Crusaders team runs through her, and once they figure out their chemistry with some new pieces (incoming Freshmen, back from injury, and transfers), they will be a really tough team to beat.
Nyla Jean Nyla Jean 5'7" | PG HB Plant | 2021 State FL – Plant
Nyla is another huge piece to Plant’s success so far. She’s truly the motor that makes this team go. In their two games, she scored 38 total points with a perfect 10 for 10 from the free throw line. She is an amazing teammate to have of both ends of the court with her unselfish play and uplifting competitiveness. The Georgia State commit can do it all as she also had 9 assists, 9 boards, and 7 steals.
Beckham Hockley Beckham Hockley 5'7" | PG Sickles | 2024 State FL – Clearwater
If you haven’t heard this name yet, you will soon. Beckham is off to a tear to start her Freshman season. She was matched up against two of the other all-tournament players on this list who are considered two of the best guards in the Tampa Bay Area (Amarie and Kailyn), and she didn’t back down. For this young Clearwater team, Beckham led the way with 36 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 steals in their two games at Brooks. There are multiple D1 schools already expressing interest in this developing talent.
