After the completion of session 2, announcements were made for the Top Stock Riser, Top Hustler, Top Shooter, Top Prospect and MVP. The winners are all listed out below for their outstanding performance at the showcase.
Session 2 Top Stock Riser
2024 5’9 PG Lucy Larson (West Seattle HS) was outstanding all showcase as one of the younger players in attendance. A smooth, yet shifty left handed guard that has the ability to play the one or two. She is capable of breaking her man down off the bounce and getting her own shot at all three levels. Larson has good length and may grow another inch or two when it’s all said and done. A Division 1 prospect in the 2024 class.
Top Hustler
2021 5’9 SG Aliya Richmond (Ravenscroft HS-NC) – Easily one of the top hustlers between both sessions from the PGH Showcase. Richmond runs the floor, defends and rebounds at a really high level, but she also has a solid offensive skill set. A player that could definitely help a Division 2 or NAIA program.
Top Shooter
2022 5’9 CG Madeline Duwe Madeline Duwe 5'9" | SG Christ Church | 2022 State SC (Christ Church-SC) – An absolute lights out shooter that came up from South Carolina, but is originally from Washington and would love to attend college in the PNW. Duwe only needs a bit of space to get her shot off and she hit several threes in both games. She has good size at the guard position and Duwe is very coachable. A recruitable player for the right level.
Top Prospect
2023 6’6 PF Olivia Anderson Olivia Anderson 6'6" | PF Ellensburg | 2023 State #37 Nation WA (Ellensburg HS) – The clear cut top prospect from both sessions with her outstanding length and mobility at 6’6. Anderson is a good shot blocker and has potential as a lockdown defender as she continues to work on getting low and closing out to guards with better fundamentals. Prep Girls Hoops’ #37 sophomore in the country can hit the pull jumper or the three. As she continues to add strength and grow in her aggression, she has a chance to be very special. *Feature image
Session 2 MVP
The top performer from session 2 was 2022 5’11 SF Jada Walters Jada Walters 5'11" | SF Garfield | 2022 State WA (Bothell HS). Walters played hard, controlled and just solid all around. She scored in transition and in the half court getting to the basket, but she also knocked down the catch and shoot three ball, which is a serious added layer to her game. She came into the showcase with minimal college interest and now has several Division 1 schools from different parts of the country involved with her recruitment.
