Christmas time is a time for many good things. When it comes to Prep Girls Hoops Indiana, it’s a time for our midseason update to our rankings in all graduating classes. Not only will we be updating our rankings, but we will also be expanding our rankings. In regards to the Class of 2024, specifically, we will expand from the current total of 79 players to approximately 90 players, but we will also expand the Top-10 to a Top-25. With that said, as we extend the overall list and expand the Top-10, I wanted to take the time to mention five young ladies. Three are currently on the watchlist but will likely move into our Top-25 expansion, while the other two are not yet listed but will likely be added to the overall list once it is updated. This isn’t everyone who will be considered, obviously, but these five have really stood out over the Fall or already this Winter since we posted our last update in September.

Scarlett has made the type of “Splash” that Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson would be proud of. Through four games, she is 20-43 from 3-point range, or 47%. I’m not sure how many other Freshmen have the green light to attempt more than ten 3-pointers per game, plus she’s shooting them with deep range. Additionally, she has only even attempted two total shots inside of the arc. Scarlett is a long, fluidly athletic guard with a bright future. She does a solid job of creating space off the bounce, and if she can eventually turn into more of a complete scorer these next few years, I think she’ll see a ton of college interest come her way.

Abbie is a really nice athlete with a wiry strong frame and good length. She has quick feet, nice North/South speed, and the thing that is unique about her is her ability to sit down and defend just about every position. She can take on bigger guards, wings, and front-liners when necessary. She plays with a great motor and is a very active rebounder. Offensively, she is most comfortable in the mid-post right now, but she does have some touch and will eventually work her way outside to being a full-time wing. Her handle is solid, and she can attack defenders off the bounce and get to the basket to finish through contact.
Mia Robbennolt, 2024, 5-10 CF, Bloomington H.S. North
Mia is an extremely long, fluid, and somewhat smooth forward. She does a little of everything for her team(s), and her versatility allows her to plug into a lineup in many different ways. She can use her height and length on the interior to score or defend, she’s a really nice mid-post shooter/scorer who can attack the basket from there, plus she’s capable of knocking down the occasional 3-pointer. Mia might still grow another inch or two, and adding more strength could really help as well. She has started the season averaging 13.5 points per game through six games, with her only single-digit game being eight points.
Justyce Williams, 2024, 5-7 CG, Jimtown H.S.
Justyce popped up on my radar at the PGH Indiana Top-250 Expo in early October, and she showcased a lot of talent and skill. She is very strong for her age, athletic in all directions, and she plays with a nice motor. She has some length, she can handle the ball and create offense for herself or teammates, but all-in-all she is just a playmaker and a shot-maker. As she continues to mature her game and gain experience at the Varsity level, I anticipate her getting better each time out, learning from her mistakes. I also really like her ability and willingness to defend. She will certainly help get Jimtown back on the map.

Faith is the hybrid type of power forward that is becoming much more prevalent in our game today. She is tall, possibly still-growing, extremely long, but a little thin right now. She has very good skill and a nice understanding of the game, plus she can play effectively at all three levels. While her high school team might need her size more on the interior, she can also handle the ball a little and look to shoot from the mid-post to the perimeter. She is a fairly fluid athlete, though as she gets stronger I expect her to become more truly explosive in all directions. The combination of her size, skill, and ability make her a nice prospect.
