I was able to view a few games on a Saturday evening and came away impressed with quite a few prospects. Here is the second list of players that caught my eye.
Tenea Robinson Tenea Robinson 5'9" | SF Baltimore Poly | 2021 State MD , Poly, 2021 Guard
Tenea is a smooth operator out on the perimeter and her best skill is getting buckets. She has one of the best jumpers in the area and is finishing up her recruiting right now. She will be a contributor right away as she can get hot quickly.
Ava Mckennie, McDonogh, 2023 Wing
This was my first time seeing Ava and I like what I saw. At 5’11″ she has excellent length to go along with a soft touch in the paint. She has a nice feel for the game and was able to get a couple of baskets by running the floor and getting to the right spots. Looking forward to seeing more of her at Mcdonogh this season.
Emily Durkee Emily Durkee 6'0" | PG Our Lady Perpetual Health | 2021 State MD , Howard, 2021 Point Guard
Emily is set up for a strong senior season at Howard. She is crafty lefty point guard that can also play off the ball. Her range is out to the three point line and she is one of the most fundamentally sound players in the area. Emily is tough competitor and one of my favorite guards to watch in the area.
Trinity Massenburg Trinity Massenburg 6'1" | PF Baltimore Poly | 2023 State MD , Poly, 2023 Center/Forward
Trinity continues to develop as a post prospect. Her best attributes right now are her physical style and relentless motor. She is a terror on the glass and hits the floor several times a game with all out hustle plays. She is turning into a very good help defender because of her speed and instincts. She challenges everything.
Summer Brooks, Springdale Prep, 2025, Point Guard
Summer has a strong motor and she played with a lot of energy but was always under control. She is a good ball handler and a solid passer and was very engaged on defense. She didn’t put up a lot of shots so I will be checking out her shooting form the next time I see her.
Samiyah Nasir Samiyah Nasir 5'8" | CG Howard | 2023 State MD , Howard, 2023 Point Guard
Samiyah had a very strong game. She was making plays on both ends of the court the whole day. She is a very gifted defender who can completely take a player out of the game. She is a pass first guard but she can get buckets. She is a high percentage three point shooter and also scores on short jumpers and slashes to the hoop.
