Aniah Hall Aniah Hall 6'3" | PF Temple | 2022 State TX
Hall doesn’t realize how good she has become, she posseseses that uncanny desire to go after the ball relentlessly off the rim and that’s something that can’t be taught, if it was, more would be doing it yet you can’t teach desire nor heart and with a college ready body, as well as size and agility, her offense has takent several turns for the better and against Rudder, she dropped 25 points and had close to 20 rebounds in their win but even more importantly is her stamina, she plays a lot of minutes and her energy level stays up
Ellie Erwin-5’11 C/PF
Erwin is one of those #THROWBACK players I talk about frequently because like Hall, she has that desire and mindset of not being outworked. She understans positioning as well as watching the ball off the rim but she will not be outworked, she’s shown that numerous times and what really has taken off is her hands and footwork around the basket where she shows a variety of moves and finishes and some of those finishes iclude “after contact” yet whether the ball is loose on the floor or in the stands and she’s around it, she’s going after it
Amina Muhammad Amina Muhammad 6'3" | PF DeSoto | 2022 State TX
Muhammad showed me how much she’s added to her game over the summer and it’s scary because she’s, here we go, long and athletic and I’m almost ready to add “ultra” to the athletic but not only does she score around the basket well and go after the rebounds over and over, she’s handling the ball, not only the wing where she attack from the left and (or) the right plus she’s handling the ball in the open court, while being defended. The irony is that she’s still going to show even more before she graduates, I can see it coming
Sa’Myah Smith Sa’Myah Smith 6'4" | PF DeSoto | 2022 State #14 Nation TX
Smith is back from her knee injury andyou would have never known but listening to her and reading what she says told me a lot about her while she was recuperating and she get’s “it” but more importantly, she gives “IT” and that is hard to handle and contain because she jumps out of the gym, she’s already long and athletic with probably a 6’4 or 6’5 wingspan and when you her timing, her finesse as well as power inside in the paint to complete her finishes, awe man, she is very special on both ends of the court
Tionna Herron Tionna Herron 6'3" | PF DeSoto | 2022 State TX
Herron joins the “long and athletic” Desoto trio and she makes her presence felt almost immediately, especially on defense and the countless times she rejects shots, outraces everyone for the ball and take it coast to coast to finish has always been a treat but I really like how she reads the defense, she understands how to switch, how to trap and how to play the passing lane. While her offense continues to move upwards, she understands how to score with her back to the basket but since the facing of the basket is there, watch out
