, 5’10”, PF, Wichita North – Brown, a 2020 Greater Wichita League honorable mention selection, is a player I saw play a few times this past summer. Long, with a strong build, and fast she was her Dynasty club team’s most consistent scorer. She showed an understanding of gaining position on inbound plays, good hands, the ability to go up quickly off the catch, and three point range. She is also a good free throw shooter.
Teneill Childers, 6’0″, PF/C, Sumner Academy – The unranked, for now, Childers is in the unfortunate situation, like every other Kansas City Public Schools athlete, of not being able to play yet. The best case scenario is practice starting January 4 with the first games being played after January 18. Once started, Childers should get looks. Coach Mike Platt says Childers “…is built like

but shorter. A project needing overall skill work and polish. Has a nose for the rebound on both ends. Finishes well around the basket. Runs well and has good strength.”
Macy Claycamp, 5’11”, PF, Circle – Claycamp was a Ark Valley Chisholm Trail Div III second team selection in 2020. She runs the floor well, can take the ball the length of the floor. Stretch four possibility. Runs the floor well and can take the ball the length of the floor. Can finish and block shots with either hand. Solid interior passer including off the high-low game. Good hands.
Kaylie Combs, 5’10”, PF, Fairfield – Also unranked at the moment, the strongly built Combs is off to a great start this season. Among the players included in top, early season rebounders, through the first five games she is averaging 15 points, 12.4 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 2.2 steals.
Chloe Daniels, 6’2″, C, Perry-Lecompton – The third unranked player expected to join the rankings in March is Daniels. In watching her in the Kaws’ overtime victory over Jefferson West in earlier this month showed hands to catch in traffic, interior passing ability, and solid boxing out on the defensive end as she gathered 5 rebounds (2 offensive), 2 assists, and 1 turnover. Daniels has good size and length and, as a qualifier for state cross country, runs well. She is a project but with substantial upside.
