New Jersey is a basketball-rich state, and this year will be no different. Here are five dominant seniors to watch this upcoming season.
Destiny Adams Destiny Adams 6'3" | SF Manchester | 2021 State #26 Nation NJ , Manchester Township – Adams, a North Carolina commit, has been an all-state player the last few seasons. She’s strong in the mid-range game, a great rebounder and she has led Manchester Township to Shore, sectional and state titles. The forward averaged 18 points and 11.7 rebounds a game before the season was cut short a season ago. Adams can absorb contact in the paint and she’s strong at finishing in transition. She’ll be in the running for Player of the Year this season.
Christina Dalce Christina Dalce 6'2" | SF Rutgers Prep | 2021 State NJ , Rutgers Prep – Dalce has been a force for state powerhouse Rutgers Prep. A Villanova pledge, she has the ability to score, rebound, block shots and get steals on the defensive end. Dalce is extremely effective in the post, and she recorded 15 double-doubles last season.
Olivia Miles Olivia Miles 5'11" | PG Blair Academy | 2021 State #2 Nation NJ , Blair Academy – Recognized as one of the top players in the country, Miles is an all-around threat who can score, rebound and facilitate. A five-star commit and Notre Dame commit, Miles is one of the top point guards in the country. She can do a little bit of everything on the court with her ability to put the ball in the basket, rebound, get her teammates involved and make an impact on the defensive end. She has great court vision and great ball handling skills. She is shifty and plays the game in a way that makes her incredibly difficult to defend with all the ways she can make an impact with the ball in her hands.
Caileigh Walsh, Gill St. Bernard’s – No matter being double teamed or triple teamed, Walsh will find ways to score and rebound. A Northwestern commit, the Gill St. Bernard’s star can score, rebound and block shots as well as anyone in the state. She can score in the mid-range game, and she is a tough matchup for most players in man defense. Last season as a junior, Walsh averaged 19 points, 11.7 rebounds and 4.6 blocks per game for the Knights.
