Heading to Ole Miss to play soccer, Ellie McIntyre used her nimble feet and quickness to slip past the front line of the Lumpkin County defense before tossing in floater after floater. McIntyre has great touch, capable of hitting the three and of course the short pull-up in the lane. She scored 15 of her team’s 27 points and collected an impressive 4 rebounds.
2021 5-8 PG Emma Easterwood Emma Easterwood 5'7" | PG Chestatee | 2021 State GA – Chestatee
Emmanuel College is getting an athletic lead guard that can get into the paint. Easterwood is smooth with the ball in her hands and can control the tempo of a game. She’s got a nice floater package when she hits the heart of the defense. Easterwood has quick hands defensively and can turnover opposing guards. She showed a little bit of everything with her 8 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 steals and 1 block vs. North Gwinnett.
2021 5-9 PG Kiara Simpson – North Gwinnett
Following a quiet first half, the strong bodied guard started to impose her will in the second as she drove hard and hit shooters on drive-and-kick opportunities. Simpson has the strength to absorb contact when getting downhill and can finish with either hand. She can play 1-3 with her versatile size. Simpson contributed 9 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists as North Gwinnett edged Chestatee 42-33.
2021 5-7 G Breanna Barley – North Gwinnett
The Georgia State soccer-signee’s speed wreaked havoc. Bree Barley is lightning quick, able to beat defenders with a decisive first step. Her impact was primarily felt on defense as she made chase down steals and jumped passing lanes. Barley was strong on the boards as well. Her motor helps her do a little bit of everything. She pitched in 6 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 5 steals.
2021 5-8 CG Angelina Cofrancesco – Cambridge
Cambridge’s heart and soul, Angelina Cofrancesco is a vocal leader. She plays a gritty style of basketball which includes physical play and outside shooting. She’s an aggressive defender that usually keys Cambridge’s full court press. Cofrancesco has the strength to take the ball to the rim and finish in a crowd. She scored 7 points, grabbed 3 rebounds and blocked a shot on Tuesday.
