Tristen Taylor Tristen Taylor 5'4" | PG Duncanville | 2023 State TX -5’5 PG (Duncanville) sophomore
Taylor is already LOCKED in as a legitimate D1 point guard. She understands something very important, how to control the tempo and she can push it when needed or slow it down and with her speed, this includes with the ball, she’s under control and makes good decisions, gets the ball to the right people at the right time, avoids traps and when you can explode like she does and see the floor, that’s huge yet she can also create off the dribble and score by either attacking or shooting the mid to long-range
Krishawn Lee Krishawn Lee 5'10" | SG Cypress Creek | 2023 State #47 Nation TX -5’10 SG (Cypress Creek) sophomore
Lee’s upside is what really impresses me because of her size, agility, and ability to not only handle the ball under pressure but create her shot which is smooth, fluid, and consistent, and she can attack and finish after contact. She gets things done effortlessly at times, she has a college-ready frame and can apply solid pressure on defense which is a big plus yet she understands how to get hers in the flow, came up with several solid plays
Ace Edmond-5’6 PG (Shadow Creek) sophomore
Edmond jumps in as a big surprise because she made a good impression while she was on the court because she plays the same way no matter what the score is, hard, and watching her go after loose balls while also showing she could attack the basket multiple ways and I’m talking attack strongly, are very good signs. She does a good job at handling the ball while being pressured and showed she could make the tough passes
Danielle Ruffin-5’5 CG (Cypress Creek) freshman
Ruffin falls into that “never takes a play off” column and watching her observe the top guards in Texas for the 2021 class. Rori Harmon Rori Harmon 5'7" | PG Cypress Creek | 2021 State #12 Nation TX and Kyndall Hunter Kyndall Hunter 5'8" | SG Cypress Creek | 2021 State #23 Nation TX , let alone practicing against them will be a boost because there’s “no training” like “on the job training” so her explosiveness off the dribble, her pull-up jumper as well as her playing baseline to baseline defense, not to leave out “playing the passing lane” will all fall into place as the ball is handed over next season
Torran Deterville-5’3 CG (Summer Creek) freshman
Deterville has always been exciting to watch because she’s fearless and when she entered the game against one of the nations top teams, I knew she would make an impact because she doesn’t care who she goes against, she just does it and an immediate steal and bucket solidifies what I just said but she understands how to not only create her shot off the dribble and finish after the lick, she can also knock down the mid to long-range
